Yeah. Blackburn are decent off the ball. Tactical changes needed on the ball.

Always seemed like quite a good guy to me. Bit of a prima donna, but heart is in a good place. Decent player.

It's "Mental Illness Doesn't Do That" Season Once Again wovon man nicht sprechen kann, darΓΌber muss man schweigen

I don't agree with every single word, but this, by Freddie deBoer, on Kanye West, his apology, and mental illness, is a great read. Challenge your assumptions and give it a read.

Forget Divorce Day, and Love the One You’re With January often sees a spike in consultations with divorce lawyers. But don't just swap one set of problems for another before asking yourself these questions.

Latest for @psychologytoday.com. TLDR version: January sees a spike in divorce petitions. Divorce plans aren't always dramatic; often it’s more of a nagging question: Is it still worth the effort? Instead, it’s worth asking another question: Are you a pleasure to live with?

β€œthe third Monday in January is notoriously the gloomiest day of the year”, the BBC News website informs us, without revealing the source of this claim is a notorious nonsense PR survey from probably 20 years ago at this point.

I imagine it’s because he refused to play and broke his contract. Whereas Nunez just wanted out, so couldn’t be forced to train with U21s. PFA might still try and push back on it.

Always easy to advocate taking something away from others rather than oneself.

A hill I will die on: adults who advocate for a ban on teenagers using social media should face a ban themselves. I’m only half joking.

People with more severe depression probably benefit more from psychotherapy than those with mild depression. Read our new meta-analysis of almost 400 randomized trials of therapies for depression. With Mathias Harrer, Clara Miguel, Eirini Karyotaki, Davide Papola

100%. The main chance we created last night Sarge basically created for himself with skill and strength. We have very little creative depth in the squad which some loans in Jan should fix short term. We’ll be fine.

I’d recommend Emily Oster’s books on parenting/family life for the same reason. Looks at the science behind the myths. So much of it boils down to β€œlove them, and they’ll be fine, and you can’t change them much anyway”.

The "smartphones/social media" discourse suffers from some amazing historical amnesia. There was no 2008 financial crisis and no global pandemic starting in 2020, it's all SCREENS SCREENS SCREENS. Major world events? Just the backdrop against which SCREENS happened.

Very good second half performance. Lots of fight. Sucker punch. Take our chances, we win 3-0. Boos are ludicrous. TNC boys on X calling us spineless. Ridiculous.

That's entirely possible, but PC has had, what, 2 days of training with the squad? Highly unlikely to transform them into world-beaters in that time. Let's see at Xmas. Fingers crossed! #ncfc

Is avoiding relegation the only thing that matters now, or do we also need to see the semblance of a β€œproject” emerging? I fear we recruit someone like O’Neil, survive, but watch shit football in 2026, and feel no further forward.

I would genuinely *love* this. Obviously won’t happen. But still….
