El problema no es el hardware; el problema es el software. Si los rumores son ciertos, la nueva Xbox se asemejará más a un PC que a una consola tradicional. Eso quiere decir que, si el SO que monta es Windows 11, todas las ventajas se verán mermadas por ese detalle.

Lots of progress on lightmaps since the last time I posted about it, including support for bicubic filtering, sun sources, light transmission and more. Attention is turning to working on a little bit of optimisation work now but been slowly, finally, working on actual game stuff again too.

There are so many reasons these days where I’m feeling like this focus on generative AI might be one of the worst mistakes in recent human history. Whatever perceived value it could provide isn’t worth the damage it’s doing in so many areas.
This is a travesty and frankly bullshit. These guys are so talented but people like Jim Ryan, presumably, or foolish investors perhaps just had to chase that awful GAAS trend.
