Hahahaha of fucking course. And this hateful wingnut will continue to pop up on sofas presented as some "moderate" voice.

Grew up watching a Trans woman win Big Brother, hearing music with lyrics that celebrated Trans people, seeing folk flourish as themselves. Now we’re going backwards

I will ALWAYS stand against the politicisation and degradation of human rights. Solidarity to our Trans family 🏳️‍⚧️ 💪🏻

Help us appeal the High Court’s judgment on trans rights | Good Law Project

Hi everyone. As you know, I am our trans rights lead at Good Law Project. I have been working alongside a fantastic team on our challenge since May last year. But whilst what we have achieved is significant - there is still a lot further to go.

If you can, please donate and help us keep fighting.

Every time you encounter one of the mouth breathers who've leapt on board the transphobia moral panic cos it clearly gives them a little sense of domination and purpose, the overwhelmingly feeling is one of gratitude that your life hasn't gone so wrong that you've ended up as one of them.

In a pretty grim decision - with one very considerable silver lining - the High Court has dismissed our challenge to the EHRC Interim guidance.

A number of resources follow in a 🧵.

'Vast majority' of parents should be involved if children question gender, schools told School leaders welcome the "greater clarity" on how to handle the polarising issue for parents and pupils.

The UK just proposed new school guidance that effectively bans even social transition for trans students (using a different name, pronoun or haircut). It implements a full bathroom ban while requiring mandatory outing of trans youth if a teacher suspects they are trans.

"I kicked Corbyn out of Labour in favour of a bunch of corrupt paedos" possibly not the zinger Starmer seems to think it is.

So in the likely event she was being a prick and being openly transphobic in an area with one of the highest LGBTQ populations in the country, they're meant to just do nothing cos otherwise she'll kick off? Just appease the bullies cos they have resources behind them?

27.01.2026 19:24 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

I know that a couple of years back a bunch of TERFs descended on a gay bar in central London and were asked to leave, and there was a brief social media kerfuffle and threats of legal action and it all seemed to amount to absolutely nothing. This is what they do.

27.01.2026 18:47 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

And I'm not sure of the point of total hypotheticals, cos it's obviously not how pubs operate. If a pub had a house rule of 'anyone who shouts at someone else is barred' and they were barring all over the place, fine. What actually tends to happen is one particular instance of someone being a prick.

27.01.2026 18:46 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0

There is absolutely no way she just innocently walked into this pub and they randomly decided she was barred cos they read a news story. I am 100% sure of this. Why you'd think the TERF playbook might not apply in this one particular instance is beyond me.

But it's Clapham, not some tiny village. We all know how these people work, they go out of their way to manufacture situations. As others have pointed out, it's less likely the pub couldn't successfully argue that she was being a dick and more likely they just won't want to face the cost of doing so

27.01.2026 17:49 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

It seems pretty obvious this isn't about 'someone's mere presence'? Why would a pub in Clapham know this woman's backstory? There's a throwaway reference to a pub worker saying she wasn't a very nice person. These stories are *never* how the Times presents them.

I can't trust politicians who are anti-trans. Not because I'm "only searching for perfection" which is what centrists will be accusing me of for the rest of my life, it's because if you're not pro-trans you'll be garbage on lots of other issues too. Being anti-trans NEVER exists in a vacuum.

I don't want to share any private space with a terf. They would violate my dignity because they don't mind their own business. I've said this before but I think now, more than ever, we should have separate rooms for them. Utter weirdos

The weak response from Can, EU and UN to Trump's flagrant crimes in Venezuela is striking.

It exposes that much of the world has been cowed.

Most notable exception: the Latin American left.

That is why the Trump Admin has gone to enormous lengths to defeat the left across the continent. 1/3

Venezuela has the world’s largest oil reserves — and that’s no coincidence.

This is naked U.S. imperialism: an illegal assault on Caracas aimed at overthrowing a sovereign government and plundering its resources.

Starmer’s Labour government must condemn this unequivocally.

Puberty blocker bans in Queensland and NZ risk extreme harm to trans youth, UK expert warns Sociologist who surveyed effect of 2024 UK ban says denial of gender-affirming care has left trans and non-binary children in ‘abject misery and severe distress’

Worked hard to get this into Guardian Oz & big props to @fiercemum.bsky.social for setting it up & Melissa Davey for publishing it. She will doubtless get loads of hassle from transphobes for it, but it needs to be out there.
Puberty Blocker bans harm trans kids, no-one should pretend they don’t.

For more than three months, Ms Phillipson has stalled in publishing draft guidance from the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC). Those 300 pages, efficiently produced after the Supreme Court’s landmark ruling in April, explain in detail how businesses and public bodies can ensure they comply with their legal duties under the Equality Act. The Supreme Court determined that UK equality law protected women on the basis of their sex, not their gender identity. Upholding women’s existing legal rights therefore requires that where services and spaces are provided to men and women separately, they must be administered on the basis of biology — meaning sex, not gender.

A quite demented Leader column published today by The Times.

First, this in which it says that the Supreme Court decision mandated that single sex spaces be divided on the basis of "biology" not gender.

Just astounding how much these people tell on themselves by always resorting to this "racism against everyone else is taken seriously" drivel. I mean, has Rachel ever actually spoken to a black person about how calling out racism tends to go for them?

Growing transphobia and authoritarianism go hand in hand – they must be resisted Late one summer’s night in 2018, I was walking with a friend through central Thessaloniki when a man approached us to ask for directions. We stopped and, without warning, he attacked us. My friend got...

Brilliant news from Aotearoa New Zealand, where trans health professionals have won an interim halt to the country's politically-driven puberty blocker ban. Wishing them all the best for further legal action.

I dunno. What are analogies for racist atrocities against other minorities being quickly turned into attacks on protests against atrocities committed by a foreign country? It seems a pretty unique thing.

the brits should be so embarrassed by their transphobia, they got completely bamboozled by an American evangelical plot. they think they’re so much smarter than us but they got turned into a country of jug hooting bigots without even needing to be told it’s what God wants.
