Paresthesia (tongue 2) 2018 An embroidery on black linen. There is the outline of an open mouth with the tongue sticking out. The lips are outlined in dark pink, the tongue in paler pink, & the teeth in bone white. There are sections outlined on the tongue in thick blue lines. Why the term “women of childbearing age” is problematic New movie The Substance showcases how women are thought about in terms of youth and fertility. That idea makes for bad research and health guidance.

So I watched The Substance last week and feel pretty confident some of those images will be burned into my mind forever.
