Im not saying Ursula vdL is spot on. Im saying she’s coming close to what I want to hear. And many folks will not take it seriously until they hear it from a respected leader.

Do we all know? Those of us that pay attention know. Folks that are directly impacted know. Folks that don’t care, too busy etc may not know. I believe we need to acknowledge exactly where we are before we move forward. Naming what we’re actually facing so everyone understands on the same level.

I just wish we had one world leader who would distinctly state that with the USA, we are dealing with a madman and his regime . I thought it might be ours, I’m now betting on Ursula von der Leyen. Her statement on this war is coming close.

I am a layperson who prefers to understand what’s happening in the world. The optics of this war are horrendous all ready. I don’t think I’m alone in feeling that our PM has validated the actions of a madman. We all know why Trump is doing this. It’s not for the lay-Iranian persons.

We are part of the world, so I believe we are part of it. The president of the USA is insane. Any statement supporting his actions is certain to upset Canadians. No comment from our PM and FA minister would have been preferable to one that excuses the US’ behaviour.

I’m reading reports this morning of a girls elementary school being hit in Iran with 40 dead. Prime Minister @mark-carney.bsky.social, as a teacher myself, I am horrified that we would support these actions. Are there no other ways to solve conflicts other than killing innocent people?

I guess Iran has schoolgirls making the bombs now? Credible sources are saying the uSA’s “allies” were not informed before taking them out. Please do not support the actions of a clearly demented US president on our behalf.

We’ve bombed Iran. And dismantled our joint terrorism task force. And sent a third of the FBI to help ICE. And gutted the National Security Council. And a drunk guy is in charge at the pentagon. And our intelligence allies probably won’t share intel with us. Because people couldn’t vote for a woman.
