I know I haven't made it yet either. But these are actually tips I've gotten from professionals already in the field and from mentors. Just remember you have GYATT this DIVA😍🔥👍💅 we can both do it if we put our minds to it!

"what type of work would they need to show me to get me to want to bring them on board?" And try to be as objective in this perspective as possible because you are going to want to shift the way you think about things in order to become that artist that these professionals are LOOKING for.

get very specific on what you want and tailor make your portfolio for the studios you are interested in applying for. Expand your perspective to that of the art director and ask yourself, "if I'm the art director of a big project what type of artist would I hire?"

So what I recommend if you don't already know what type of work you are looking to do. Research some of the different fields of the industry and check out the portfolios of the professionals in that exact field. It will give you a great example of what to aim for

I'm also looking to become a professional artist rn. The biggest tip I know of is have a targeted portfolio for the type of art job you are looking to do. So for instance concept art for video games. you need a portfolio that showcases the ability to quickly ideate designs, do call outs, and render
