I have been using claude for some internal report generation based on heaps of playtest data. For as smart as it is it's still pretty stupid.

If I had to repeat myself this much to an intern, they likely wouldn't have an offer when their internship was over.

Oh, they are on here. I should be better about checking that sort of thing:

So... Asbury Pines is ridiculously good. I don't normally go for early access stuff but I do not hesitate to tell you to check it out.

It's my favorite experience in...probably years. It's hard to remember when something landed the way this one has, for me.

I saw a youtube short asking what the male equivalent of getting flower is.

I think it's an honest compliment.

I am not starved for attention, I have a loving relationship. I still remember every genuine compliment I have been given in the last 15 years.

Thinking about it a bit more,t here might be issues with needing to be part of the MN bar. But I would bet that at least some of the lawyers in other states are members of the MN bar as well.

Or they might offer to cover the costs to get into the MN bar too.

Realistically? I would guess that they will likely temporarily move people from other offices/states to cover the needs.

Now that my primary Dune Awakening base has been stripped down and moved to a tax haven and then backed up, I would like to tell @funcom.com that I would have spent so much money on cosmetics if they had a store before the game fell apart. I even bought the chai tea to get the special single mural.

Hey people making games in Unreal, how does your team approach performance optimizations?

I am curious to learn more about how other teams are doing this stuff.

Is it just me? Or do others see Will Ferrel's Harry Caray when they see Scott Bessent on TV?

Also, I see nothing wrong with "male living spaces." No one should be shamed for living in an aesthetically blank but functional space if they are happy in it.

Beauty standards can differ, and that's okay.

I have probably been victim to the "male living spaces" in games that have housing.

I wonder how often it correlates to accessibility to more item options. If items are hard to get/make (or paywalled), are players likely to just stick to the easy bare essentials?

288m is if you take the lump sum. If you take the annual annuity payments it should be the full value.

Lump sum lets you control what it is invested if for possible larger returns over the 30 years of payments. But also puts you at risk to blow through it or lose it all in the first year.

Haven't we all assumed there was a list like this since the patriot act passed? And especially after the Snowden whistle blowing?

In tonight's episode of D&D: My Lizardfolk ranger gets to make a throwback to our 3rd session over 3 years ago, mentioning an NPC who's name we got wrong and it just stuck: Cornelius Fudge, the infamous sorcerer on the village of dead rats.

In reality he was just a corrupt merchant named Kelson

Not really. It's more akin to story point bidding/planning poker, but by team not by individual. The feature's priority is weighed against the highest bids to see if it needs a redesign or if we can cut a lower impact feature to free up the team that is looking like they cannot get their part done.

08.10.2025 00:43 ๐Ÿ‘ 2 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Bidding might not be the best term for it, it's a little bit different. But I am not sure what would be a better term for it.

07.10.2025 23:13 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Bidding against projected capacity, per team. If a team is over capacity we can then look at what can be cut or adjusted to make features fit for all teams.

07.10.2025 21:47 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

We actually have more teams than that the listed examples. And some of these teams will have multiple producers broken out to each own a subset of features, depending on the season's length and needs.

07.10.2025 21:07 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

A super generic overview would be a list of features/items with columns for each team to bid out their estimated dev cost. It can have a reasonable concurrent user count when you look at all the teams (animation, fx, hard surface, ui, ai, gameplay, audio, ld, quests, battlepass, etc).

Google suite is good for highly collaborative work. At least it's the best office suite that I have used when you want to have multiple editors active at once. It works well when you have a team the size of Fortnite's working together on things like a master season scoping doc.

Epic uses Google suite too. DigiPen was all in on Libre Office when I was a student there a decade ago.

07.10.2025 04:17 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

It's a sure fire way to pump up engagement metrics. What are users going to do, move to another office suite over it?
