I had no idea that's what those were on the walls at HB, very cool.

What they did to FMG is unconscionable.
Take a look Portland for our local org for trans folks to relocate into the PNW. They've helped 80 so far. looking for volunteers for their March 29 event.
hell yeah brother
Broadway bridge is quiet but pedestrians still holding it down.
Super pleasant to be on the Broadway bridge with no cars at night. Lots of folks streaming back and forth to the Brandi Carlisle show at moda. This could be us more often. Bridges for people. #pdx
An unfortunate reemerging talking point in this city is that drivers need to park as close as possible to where they are going in order to be safe. It erases transit riders, pedestrians, cyclists. It is important to push back on that.
Generally speaking, when you live in an apartment building you are not going to get a spot out front most of the time.
All this over a handful of parking spaces for a 214 unit building.
> A project is in the works to widen the bike lane on SW Alder Street in Portland. PBOT is still in the design phase but residents in a SW apartment building are up in arms, saying they are losing parking that is already limited.
Please explain how the Councilor has been celebrating taxing the working and middle classes over taxing the wealthy. I'll wait.
They changed the recipe, and I agree.
Thatβs the spot.

From the vault:
When a local pdx coffee company decided fuck it, let's mock our former employees while defending our owner/manager's anti-#metoo media grift through a maniacally racist and sexist PR campaign. They thought business from the proud boys would bail them out lmao!! Good times.
In The Black Byline, Donovan Scribes criticizes the Portland police union for trying to divert Clean Energy Fund money to hire more police.
They all seem to lie reflexively. Fraudulent people.
π― though I bet drivers will still find a way to crash in them
Dear @oregonian.com ya'll need to fix your social meta tags. DM's open if you need help.
AZN Zine Fest was lit. Props to the organizers who pulled off a great event.

Council Vice President Clark and I visited Mother's Bistro, just down the street from City Hall."
Nice little dog whistle there.
Portland rises late and goes to bed early, I am sad to say.
Mr bezos why do I give a shit what someone who bought a commodity product has on their podcast rotation??
Customers who bought this also listened to these Amazon podcasts and it's mostly right wing podcasts (vom)

Iβll try again and see what they say.
I think the businesses can use this form, you used to be able to request the parking as a customer and PBOT would proactively reach out and work with the biz to get it done. from what I remember last time I tried to do that they told me to talk to the biz and convince them to apply.
On that note, sad that the public bike rack program at PBOT has been decimated. I miss that era where a quick email would land staples outside your favorite spot in a matter of days.
I *think* Iβm the target audience for this festival yet even before this news I was doubtful on picking up a $500 ticket to see mostly local acts at unnamed venues who already play here every month.
Who knows what they will pull off now but if dude is already burning bridges itβs not looking great. Plus with so much planned for outdoors it makes me wonder if they forgot April/May is typically quite rainy in Portland π€
The sad part is this is unsurprising. You canβt just copy and paste SXSW or Treefort onto Portland, it takes piles of cash, relationships, advance work years in advance, and you have to pay people! This many details remaining vague at this stage provide little confidence, which impacts ticket sales.
