I got my nails done for the first time in 4 years on Friday (had to relearn how to type), saw my gran for the first time in 5 years and my uncle for the first time in 30 on Saturday (went well but was a lot to process), and then got my tongue pierced yesterday (talking is still difficult)

I've been finding it really difficult to find clips to turn into shorts or make content from the past week or two. I just haven't had the emotional bandwidth or energy with the news out of the US. The historian in me is terrified.
But I want to share and celebrate some small personal victories

Once I'm streaming to Twitch, Discord will also not be needed running on the stream PC, further releasing resources for OBS, and reducing strain even further.
Lastly... My audio balance needed adjustment. Somehow, that's more annoying than the recording skipping 99% of frames 😅
That recording failure meant that the instant replay I set up also didn't work, but with the main recording task now offloaded to a tertiary PC, will likely not present an issue. It's also worth keeping in mind that this test was done via Discord, which in my experience is horrendously inefficient
The fact that *that* is the only thing which failed is a HUGE positive, and readily resolved by offloading the task via a spare capture card to the laptop that is otherwise only handling audio. It shows that the overall (complex by most streamer standards) setup is running brilliantly
This counts as everything going well!!!
What failed was the local recording, which missed 99.9% of frames. While this sounds like a (very) bad result, it was also while rendering 3-4 times, and encoding a minimum of 3 times SIMULTANEOUSLY
So last night I did a full systems stress test in preparation for returning to streaming. For that return to happen, everything had to run smoothly while I over worked my system.
Exactly one thing failed, which in turn affected another system, and one thing needed adjustment...
