Actually, the 2020s feel like the 1910s and 1930s happening at the same time, only now under the shadow of an ecological crisis we are failing to take as seriously enough.
It really does feel like we're in pre-1914 conditions, on the verge of war.
At least 750,000 people died so a banker could say could use slurs
I'm reading some very reassuring news about China and Iran. I'm feeling very reassured about all this. Feeling some unprecedented levels of reassured.
woah you're telling me a foreign power attacking a regime that just consolidated itself through massive violence doesn't cause an uprising?
BLUESKY POSTER: And I hope you die
BLUESKY EMPLOYEE: I hope we both die
I think a shift has taken place, an obstacle cleared.
Raymond Geuss has convinced me that the central question I have been asking myself, the question that defines much of the philosophy as a way of life orientation, is conceptually useless.
In pushing Labour's extreme and hostile anti-asylum and anti-immigration policies the Home Secretary has lied. She has, deliberately or through ignorance, misled the public on fundamental aspects of both. That alone should surely be a resigning matter
Nihilism. It's all nihilism. Except when it's gender, the only thing you aren't allowed to be nihilist about
I think it's possibly friction burns from his collar and the very common cream is a barrier cream. Not outlandish for a man his age.
Guys, it's a friction burn. He's 80.
You're right. You win.
They are powerful. This is in fact why they work.

Anyway, I'm not going to monitor or respond to these replies anymore. I'm about to go on holiday and I don't think my wife appreciates me being on here.
Everyone in these replies seems to ignore that I keep repeating that and saying that is what this article actually points to. Almost as if they're more interested in winning a fight than in seeing the proper healthcare be provided.
I understand how prescribing etc. work. I also know how diagnosis works. That was rather part of my point. The article also doesn't mention GPs except to note that it puts them in a difficult position. Which it does. Again, the proper response is to have proper NHS provision.
The accusations is about private providers. So the correct response to have proper public provision.
No, I'm suggesting, repeatedly, that one can say "yes, these are powerful medications and they should be safely prescribed with appropriate supervision, which is why there should be proper NHS services provision".
I just think people are ceding ground rather than saying if these are real concerns it's the NHS responsibility to address them
I'm actually not going to keep responding as people seem to think I'm saying something other than what I'm saying. I don't think there's anything in this article that can't be used to say: yes, and that's why we need properly funded and resources NHS services".
I also don't think it means we have to pretend that words don't have meanings.
I very much know these are real people, thanks. I simply don't think that the correct response to this article is anything other than that is shows why better service provision is required on the NHS.
I don't know if that's a reply about me but I actually have a wife and son with ADHD and I work in mental health care supporting students to access ADHD diagnosis and prescribing services and provide executive function coaching and reasonable adjustment plans.
Like, I literally think this article can be used to say "and that is why we need better NHS services"
From what I read, the article expresses serious concerns about how these medications are being prescribed. To my mind that is an argument for having properly funded NHS services that can be accessed in a safe and timely manner.
You all seem to be replying to me about something I haven't said.
It's not a playbook. It might be getting used as part of a playbook but these terms have meanings that aren't part of it. They are powerful stimulants. That is a neutral fact of our classification system.
