And to clarify, on arena I do play with and against UB stuff. With and against alchemy cards despite not enjoying those being in the game on principle. Because the mel part of me likes how those cards help me win despite the larger part of me that wishes there was a place for my ideals.

To expand a little, I fell in love with Magic not because I could make infinite mana and cast Emrakul (though seeing a friend do that was fun) but because of getting a duel deck about the story and later playing Duels of the Planeswalkers and connecting with the story more. Magic being Magic.
