Yup, it's forever the problem of IT that they forget what step one and two of troubleshooting look like, and then miss something easy.

I feel like they probably wouldn't understand and just hear it as you saying that you need some accomodation, you're probably right. However, I know when the bosses have a specific way of doing things it's because someone important had a whim or something bad happened.

I've been playing on the Ascension private server, they have a classic+ server that's really neat, and they also have a classless server and one that gives you abilities at random that are both pretty neat. I haven't paid for my normal sub in a long time.

It's tough, I hope you make notes so you can ask friends later or look up things. If it's a work thing, you could ask something like, "What happened to cause that to be the rule/method?" That might give you a stright answer.
