4/ Though strong coupling for quantum computing isn't yet reached, this study proves fine control over high-spin systems, opening doors to compact, versatile quantum devices for information storage and conversion using doped crystals and superconducting cavities.

3/ Experiments from 30 mK to 16 K show spin–photon coupling strength depends on thermal spin distribution and quantum selection rules. Combined with simulations, results validate the system’s behavior via the Tavis–Cummings model.

2/ By tilting a ruby crystal relative to a magnetic field, researchers finely control spin transitions (2–4 transitions), each producing unique ESR spectra that reveal how spins absorb or exchange photons within a quantum superconducting cavity.

1/ Researchers combine ruby crystals and high-Tc superconducting cavities, using magnetic fields and electron spin resonance (ESR) to observe quantum-driven transitions between chromium spin levels, highlighting spin-photon interactions in quantum microwave fields.

Researchers explore quantum tech beyond qubits using qudits (multi-level quantum systems). They study Cr³⁺ ions in ruby crystals interacting with microwave photons, revealing intricate matter-light interactions in compact superconducting quantum devices.
