I just rode through on a cargo bike with another person on a bike and some pedestrians. It was perfectly fine.

#1 Ride a bike
Iβve had to tell so many parents that their sons & daughters were dead, had been murdered. Their screams, their silences, their faces, their collapses, cling to me like cobwebs I canβt ever shake.
Our leaders, so callous with death as games or memes or brags, know nothing of grief, only of greed.
It works! π
Iβm going to go up and ride this on the big bike to see how it flows.
Thatβs why Slow Horses works. The humor pulls you in, but the tradecraft feels believable. Intelligence work is often messy, bureaucratic, and human, and the show actually leans into that reality. #SlowHorses #SpyCraft #Espionage #MI5 #intelligence

Bike lanes are antifascist actually
i am not generally a "go through the hoops to write a comment I don't think will really be read" kind of guy, but for a plan THIS bad, by a guy I hate THIS much... I'll make the exception
Velotric e-bike in the South Tacoma Station bike locker
Since my new commute is door to door transit, minus the mile from my house to get to the Sounder station, I've started using the Bike Lock lockers for my end to end connection.
Can't beat $.05 an hour.
The cover of Tanya Huff's SUMMON THE KEEPER featuring a grumpy black and white cat on top of a haunted B&B of sorts.
Come for the love triangle, stay for the talking cat, and watch out for the holes in the fabric of the universe: SUMMON THE KEEPER, the first book in @tanyahuff.bsky.social's Keeper's Chronicles trilogy, is $4.99 in the US and Canada! Offer ends 3/16. www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/...
No-one actually expects gas prices to rapidly return to normal.
Itβs hard to properly convey the lunacy of these proposals to people outside aerospace.
Reflect wants to put gigantic mirrors in orbit and beam down sunlight at nighttime.
SpaceX wants a million more starlink sats.
If either of these actually happens, space will be unusable.
An enraging story so common that it rarely makes the news.
The report highlights the grim state of freshwater ecosystems, degraded marine and terrestrial ecosystems, and the risk of extinction for many species. But it also emphasizes the potential for improvement through conservation, restoration, and renewed connections between people and nature.
This is why you donβt cheer war like itβs a game.
As someone who was on the bike side of the barrier multiple times this week, thank you for your service, barrier π«‘
If you hear a politician claim there really IS a βwar on carsβ in your city hall (and we donβt mean in an ironic way, like @thewaroncars.bsky.social does it), you have full and enthusiastic permission to steal @brenttoderian.bsky.socialβs reply below. #UrbanTruth
This is a great article and got too little attention when it first came out. @propublica.org is doing amazing work.
they double bombed an elementary school for girls
Music and art. They persist. There is no technical reason why they survive. They require effort, yet don't in any tangible way contribute to survival at a organism level. We might expect that evolution by way of natural selection would not have resulted in their persistence. And yet here we are.
Brutal. This is what Trump did.
SDOT is trying to make it safer for people who bike AND drive on this corridor π±
βanger is real, and so is resolveβ goes pretty damn hard
A top-down closeup photo of a pale yellow flower with serrated-tip petals, with the ground and leaves below out of focus. There are two little moths in the flower; the moths have a fuzzy gray thorax, and cream-colored wings with thin bands and edges of deep pink.
These pretty, day-flying moths (Heliolonche pictipennis), only about 1 cm. long, are one of my favorite desert spring insects. The only flowers they visit (desert dandelion, desert chicory, or scale bud) close up at night; the moths sleep inside them, which is scientifically adorable. #BugSky πΏππΌ
Drivers should be more careful and more aware of what's happening outside of their vehicle, also keeping their eyes on the road, not their phone or other screens!
It's a shared responsibility

specific guys asideβit is politically and morally bankrupt to be told we must seriously consider how many is too many pieces of nazi flair
I just rode my bike home from the hospital over some pretty impressive, layered pothole patches. And it feels like such a disconnect that people donβt think of the cost of street repairs we will need because of those thousands of drives every day. Oof.
Whaaat the heck?
What a dick.
