Recording vocals right now for a track I'm working on and while I always end up in that "i hate my vocals" phase for a while I'm way more determined nowadays to commit to it given the current creative climate and be like fuck it im a human and this makes me and my work human

For as popular as they are nowadays their music hardly gets covered beyond arranges for solo piano and symphonic metal covers, esp not in a remix album kinda way that I know of, like imagine a jazz fusion arrange of an armored core or dark souls track alongside kings field edm i dunno LOL

I think my dream remix collective type album would be a FromSoftware tribute album that spanned their entire career both old 90s/00s stuff & their current games but transcribing/arranging the music in a lot of these games would probably be a big undertaking for many, the scope is also rather big

it's simple! elementary, even! you see, I simply don't use AI because I'm not an abject fucking loser

And yes this includes writing too! So many people in creative art fields are seemingly against genAI but then don't share the same compassion for our writer friends who also have their work stolen for all these stupid models and services, I rarely get too personal on here but yea.

Random SGFR tidbit. Back during Bombertracks I was planning to do a kinda high energy fusion sounding arrange of a boss battle theme from I think Bomberman SNES?? Something like that, a shame I never finished it but I did eventually make a fusion arrange down the line for mii!

Definitely! Masayoshi Soken (FF14, FF16) had a recent video interview where he talked about this, that the important thing is it fitting the scene, not the genre and that Uematsu himself told him "it's FF you can do whatever you want" you can really feel that on 14 yet the OST is still cohesive

I'm back stream the clockwork parade or something idk man it's been 2 years since I released an original album... one day one day i do have Plans, for now been messing around with random drum stuff, nothing like spending hours trying to recreate some specific sound in your head (trust the process)

A bit late but wanted to celebrate Undertale's 10th anniversary with one of my favourite tracks from the game! An orchestral arrange of Metal Crusher, I think it fits orchestra really nicely tbh Also somehow the first UT arrange I've made? hah

I arranged this in a way that evokes those old covers in a way which was fitting both for the track + the tight deadline and yes, the guitar mid track is temporarily only playing on the right channel on purpose, it gives more impact when the band comes in on the chord stabs, it's a rock/metal thing
