President Phil Rosenberg and Workplace and Inclusion Officer @noaskatz.bsky.social were at the Jewish Small Communities Network’s Parliamentary Reception this afternoon meeting leaders of small communities from across the country!
Reform UK - Brighton and Hove was right to delete a grotesquely offensive caricature of Zack Polanski. We will be raising the issue with the party at the highest levels over the coming days.
Good fun to read a humorous critique of the (perennial) attack on the quality of HE albeit it’s unfair in implying students are seeking a way to be well funded and have an easy life in the final line or 2.

We tried to place this story - very expensive polling, the first of its kind, strong quantitative data about what trans people feel about Britain: bluntly there is no better way to tell the story - with the BBC but it said it was "too weak".
But it will pick up any old piece of transhating garbage.
I'm quite happy to "take" a small contribution to stopping Ukrainian citizens being slaughtered in their hundreds of thousands.

We are proud to mark the National Day for Staff Networks What are we doing to help Jews at work? 🧑💼 Launching a new Jewish Staff Network Community of Practice 🖇️ Providing resources like The Employer’s Guide to Judaism 🗓️ Planning our first Jewish Staff Network Conf
Today is the National Day for Staff Networks! We’re proud to celebrate the work of Jewish Staff Networks across the UK. We know it’s not always been easy to be Jewish at work over the last 19 months but we're here to help. Need support at work or want to find out more? Email us: bodatwork@bod.org.uk
Bring them all home now and end this horrendous war, for good.

Gazan civilians must be able to return to their homes, free from fear that is a result of extremist actions and international encouragement.

The only way to bring the living hostages home is through continued diplomatic efforts.
Hostage families deserve the basic respect of being able to bury their loved ones.

No one needs another mourning, angry diaspora voice adding to discourse but what I'll say is this: the hostage-ceasefire deal must progress.

Lancaster & Lakes Jewish Community adopted the Bibas family to advocate on their behalf.
I have had the honour of meeting Oded's daughter, Sharone, a number of times over the last six months.
This news today seems to be the heart shattering confirmation of many of our worst fears.

abracadabra, cowboy carter AOTY (ft. gaga tears) + tour announcement on the same night may well be the closest thing we get to telephone part 2 and i’m at peace with that
Great to be in Westminster last night at the first 2025 meeting of @nus-uk.bsky.social’s APPG on Students. @alexsobel.co.uk chaired a vital, and at times heartbreaking, discussion on student housing, looking mainly at the impact of guarantor schemes to further improve the Renters’ Rights Bill.
i’m so not ready for ariana’s thank goodness
making a conscious effort to move my ramblings here from now…
listening to the Wicked soundtrack whilst reading @sundersays.bsky.social’s How To Be A Patriot is reminding me just how much we all must do more to actively work towards maintaining a no-holds-barred inclusive centre ground in the UK at the peril of becoming what we’re seeing over the pond…
that’s Dame “I hate the SNP” to you
@emilythornberry.bsky.social
nope - brilliant work from BoD!
As Chair of the Under 35 Assembly, I know how important inclusive work environments are for all workers but especially those of us early on in our careers.
Joining us were colleagues from @jlcuk.bsky.social, Work Avenue and other important communal organisations as well as Jewish Staff Network leads from across different sectors. The Board’s work on work is absolutely vital and the need for it has, unfortunately, never been clearer.
Victoria Lisek, BoD Religious & Civil Affairs Officer, Phil Rosenberg, BoD President, Sir Stephen Timms MP, DWP Minister, Dan Tomlinson MP, APPG British Jews Chair, Andrew Gilbert, BoD VP.

It was an honour to join @boardofdeputies.bsky.social in Parliament last night for the launch of the Employer’s Guide to Judaism! Chaired by APPG on British Jews Chair @dantomlinson.bsky.social, we heard from DWP Minister The Rt Hon Sir Stephen Timms MP and Faith & Communities Minister Lord Khan.
Wow. This is one example of the extent of instability that Trumps election has bought and this is 2 months before he actually takes office.
We wrote to @the-independent.com warning that the intended hike to employer’s national insurance contributions would “damage the essential work done by Jewish charities.”

i simply cannot stop listening to Wicked

like I fundamentally don't believe that social media should feel like the Clockwork Orange eyes scene half the time, I don't think that helps anyone and worry that it drives people insane, so sure yeah I'll actively prefer a platform that doesn't do that, it's not a passive choice but an active one
