The hubris! The Greeks are laughing themselves silly.
I need to go eat lunch now.
Congratulations! I'm so happy for you!
So many committees I've been on would do this.
One of the least glamorous writer tasks, but also one of the most important: the book proposal. Today I wrote the synopsis of the trilogy & a description of the world in which The Lost Archive series is set. It took over 6 hours to write 676 words, because they have to be perfect words.

An image within an image within an image. The biggest image says "7 Steps to Create Your Own Pilgrimage" along with my website URL www.maryralenekeane.com. Most people don't use the www anymore, but I'm a rebel. Or retro. Then the next image has the same title and a picture of two hands in a position of prayer. Then two images behind that, mostly obscured, but one says "7 St" and so presumably is the same title yet again. It's all very metaphysical, and you should definitely download the short article from my website.
Did you know a pilgrimage can start from home? I created a free guide where you can learn how to start your own pilgrimage, no plane ticket required. Would love to hear your thoughts on it if you decide to download it!

I'm holding a paperwhite Kindle with the cover of the book "Eichmann in Jerusalem." You'll have to take my word for it since the letters are reversed because the picture was taken with an iPhone. You would think in the day and age of AI that the phone would have figured out that the letters are reversed, but apparently AI only wants to make cute cat videos and not fix people's photos. In the photo, a balding man in glasses is looking down at you, the reader. For some perverse reason, I like the fact that he's balding, but I don't know if putting him in a position where he's looking down on us is a good idea. Maybe it was the only picture of him. He looks well fed as opposed to the millions of people who died due to his actions.
The most important book I read in Feb 2026: "Eichmann in Jerusalem." A dense & fierce description of the trial of the Nazi who organized the trains that took millions to their deaths. A fascinating look at how a country turned into a killing machine & how the world punished one of them. #BookSky
If I turn it to the side, it looked like The Little Mermaid's tail is splitting and becoming legs.
Your RSS feed must be amazing.
Thanks Kiwis for helping us keep the humpbacks from extinction!
Congratulations!! I'm cheering for you!
Amazing what art can tell us.
I mourn all the women's writing that has been lost to fires and natural disasters throughout history and, as if that wasn't enough, destroyed on purpose. Why weren't these books preserved?

Isn't all bread the gateway to carb darkness with its siren call?
Marion Greenwood's art is amazing. What a labor of love Ms. Mulcahy created by bringing Greenwood's art back to our attention.
She sounds tough. I love her already.
The master of the alt text strikes again.
We hardly ever have clouds, but, of course, they chose to show up today. I hope the rest of the world gets to revel in the blood moon!
I love this project! I don't understand how she led an ascetic life and travelled to the Holy Land, but I'm willing to believe she was exceptional at multitasking.
A very cool owl-shaped tea pot and an owl mug sit next to a Mac laptop with some writing on it. The tea pot and mug were gifts from my brother-in-law who likes to enable my tea habit. On this occasion, the tea pot contained Duchess Gray tea from Fortnam & Mason. F&M are known for their tea and "hampers," a fancy British word for picnic basket. So many English novels include a scene where some rich person orders a hamper for a tryst. Another fancy British word for snog or makeout session.
Ever wondered what a day in life looks like for me juggling writing and working in cybersecurity? I reserve mornings for inspiration, writing and editing - it's a great start to my day!
When do you like writing the most? Morning, afternoon, or evening?

I love this! I'll remember it when I get to the last chapter and love it in honor of you.
A Mac laptop sits waiting for the author's fingers to start typing. On the screen is the prologue from The Lost Archive.
The first chapter of a book is my favorite to write. Itβs where possibility lives, and where I begin to reveal the heart of the book without giving anything away. I absolutely love it.
To my fellow writers: do you prefer writing the first chapter or the last chapter of your book? #BookSky
Thank you for sharing!
Now this is a challenge to writers!
Kindle and Notes are the modern version.
