One day theRump says that the US economy is the best it's ever been but then he wants to put these "emergency" blanket tariffs on everything to save the economy.

Tariffs are supposed to be mathematically targeted to make foreign products competitive with the US. Blanket tariffs on all products and all countries never work. There are also some foods and products that the US doesn't manufacture or grow but the cost of everything goes up.

We'll see, usually the corporations and manufacturers use these opportunities to raise prices and then when the reason they used to raise the prices has gone away, they don't lower the prices back to where they were.
