Meet the team behind the EU-SABV COST Action — a multidisciplinary network of researchers, clinicians and data experts from across Europe.
Together, we advance SABV integration, strengthen scientific rigor, develop training and guidance, and support long-term capacity building.

What is a COST Action, you may ask:
- COST Actions are efficient networking tools.
- COST provides funding for research coordination and capacity building.
- COST doesn’t provide funding for research but pools researchers to achieve research results by networking.

First day of my Erasmus visit at Nencki Institute started quite strong! Within the second hour of my arrival, I got to meet Prof Harold Varmus- 1989 Physiology/Medicine Nobel prize laureate 🤩

What’s behind our new study? 🧪
Using a rat model of autism, we showed sex-specific shifts in leptin, ghrelin & orexin!
Findings highlight the need for sex-specific metabolic research in autism while suggesting a shared mechanism with eating disorders.

Starting the second week focused on Young researchers with a #COSTAcademy Leadership workshop. 🧑🔬 We got to engage in inspiring discussions with this amazing group. Thanks for the great insights and experiences of leadership roles by Indrek Heinla, Milorad Dragic, Neda Nikolovski and Olesia Kulyk. 👏
Now I know the support of COST and have a newly formed network of (future) leaders 🩶

Until now, being in a COST Action felt like something almost unreal. With the leadership training, I finally saw its reality and know what I need to do. On October 22, I’ll be back in Brussels for the kick off meeting of our action. Can’t wait to have the whole team together 🩶 #COST
