Doesn't this sound absolutely amazing? This is a brilliant event for the city of Hull. I'm sure it will rival any similar cultural offering from anywhere else in the country.

She looks amazing and you will not be disappointed.
Congratulations to the Greens. Voters have shown in this by-election that they will vote for whoever they think can beat Reform. In Hull that is not Labour, it is the Liberal Democrats.
As for the match itself, I hope the fans and team go into it with belief tonight. Success can be seen from those in Hull and we shouldn't be surprised when it happens.
I know all those who have travelled half way across the globe to be here in person will have received a friendly welcome and will enjoy their time in the city.
Once again, for all the right reasons, Hull will be in the spotlight, as viewers from across the world tune in to watch the match broadcast from right here.
Welcome to Hull the Brisbane Broncos!
While many in Hull and beyond will be hoping for a KR victory tonight, I also want to comment on the significance of this match to the city.
Hull's, much loved, Maritime Museum is undergoing a major transformation. I had a chance to take a look at the progress and I can say for sure when the public gets to return to the museum, you will fall in love with the place all over again. An exciting moment is coming this year.
Colliderfest, a Spring festival that covers science, technology, engineering, arts and maths, is taking place the 12th to 15th March in Hull and the programme has now been released. Take a look at what events you want to go to here - colliderfest.co.uk
Hull loves its sport and I know just how important it is. It can bring communities together and has tremendous benefits for those who take part. Great, then, to spend some time with Lewie Coyle today, hearing about his academy and his plans for its future. Thank you Lewie.

Will keep up the call for rail electrification for our region.

Mike Ross at the Hull's 107FM studio
First visit to Hull's 107FM of the year. We talked about the disappointing rail announcements, local government finance and some questions all about who I am as a person. Lots of fun to be back in the studio this morning.
Who even knows
I am not sure if that is better or worse than the ones I get from another organisation addressed to Paul
Good to hear @joshbabarinde.bsky.social has set out a strong message to Times Radio that the @libdems.org.uk can do well in elections across the country this May. We can stand up to Reform and be a home for those feeling let down by the other parties.
Finally managed to pop in and see the Young Artists open exhibition at the Ferens. We have some very impressive and imaginative young artists in the city. Very impressed.
Enjoyed a visit to Newland St John's school, as part of their aspirations day. This saw a range of occupations represented for the pupils to get an idea about opportunities available for them. Pleased to say after a series of questions, they were able to identify what my job is!

One of the highlights of this time of year is getting to see the amazing designs young people from across Hull have done for the council's Christmas card. Though picking winning ones is no easy task! It was lovely to meet this year's winners earlier this week.

Trump is coming after our BBC. He’s suing it for $10 billion, and the Conservatives and Reform are cheering him on.
The BBC must not pay Trump a penny. Instead of rolling over, it should sue Trump back for the lies he’s telling about it.

Great to pop into the Hull 107FM studio this morning and spend some time on air with Pete Mills. Covered issues like the state of local government finance, what has been going on this year and what is to come in 2026. Will be back in there in the new year too and always keen to hear from residents.
Hull City Hall hosting Hull Vineyard's A very piratey Christmas carols service this afternoon, with special guests Gem from CBeebies show Swashbuckle.
Important step in the task of returning Freetown Way back to two lanes of traffic in both directions.

I am extremely concerned that the government might be looking at preventing councils using funding to provide free meal vouchers for those eligible during holiday periods. The people who would lose out most are the ones who can least afford to do so. Govt must think again.
