Beautiful shot, worth the wait!
Brown hare lying in short grass facing the camera with its head up half turned and its ears back.
I love this relaxed ears back watchful pose that brown hares often do. It exudes confidence in their ability to escape danger, but also emphasises their vulnerability. This was just a momentary pause to look around while feeding in an open field as the sun went down.

Lovely to see, Helen. Hope you have a good week
Yes, lovely textures!
Beautiful shot Lizzie!
Thank you!
Thank you!
Many thanks Alan!
Hello everyone.
Unfortunately, due to my job's increased workload and ailing pet situation, I've decided to put this blocklist in an indefinite hiatus, effective today.
Thank you for trusting this list and the previous one under my personal account for the past few years.
A robin perched on a rotten post, lit by bright sunlight from the side and rear catching its eye and the side of its orange breast
I'm going for both of @alan678.bsky.social's themes for #BirdOfTheDay with this #photogenic robin in #LightAndShade

That's a great set of images, especially if they were uncooperative!
I was in position ready to photograph one yesterday afternoon, but it kept its back to me until about 3 seconds after the sun went down and only then turned round and faced me in the gloom π€£
Photographing hares is so addictive!
Thanks Dave!
Lovely atmospheric shot! πππ
Have a great day too Helen!
A visually confusing close up of two moths back to back mating on a fence post. Their wings are overlapping and the camouflage of the black, brown, and grey markings is so effective that it is virtually impossible to see where one moth ends and the other starts.
Phone snap of what I think must be two Oak Beauties (after some highly unlikely suggestions from Google). Maybe someone can confirm?
I certainly wouldn't have spotted them if they had been on the bark of the nearby oak tree!

Brilliant shot Jane! ππππ€£
Thanks Anna!
Brown hare sitting in a sloping sunlit field of short grass. It is facing the sun which catches the wire fur on its chest and its white whiskers.
8 hours later (than my last post), the hare woke up π€£

Love that, Linda! I've never seen a heron smile before π
So, mal gucken was hier so abgeht.

Great shot Anna!
Lovely shot Helen! I don't expect to see any here until April - snow on the hills again this morning.
Great shot Anna!
Brown hare lying in short frosty grass with its eyes shut. Its head is slightly raised from the ground and its ears are slightly raised from its back.
This brown hare was having none of this mad march hare business on a cold frosty morning yesterday. During an hour and a half it did open its eyes and move its ears once or twice, but when the sun came up it lowered its head, flattened its ears, and the excitement was over π€£

Beautiful shot Anna!
A robin perched among fallen oak leaves, its orange breast brightly lit by low sunlight from the right, and its back in dark shadow.
There was only one day in February when I had #PerfectLighting and a camera in my hand. Fortunately there was a robin in front of me for this late entry for @alan678.bsky.social's #BirdOfTheDay theme today
