Estinien is probably Thilan's best friend in the Scions. Everyone who met Thilan during ARR met a much more severely disabled person than he eventually becomes so the characters who spent the most time with him got used to thinking of him in somewhat infantalized ways. Estinien meets him later and

He's certain Artoirel and Haurchefant could be very close as brothers and is kind of sad that they aren't. A more manipulative character might try to do something about that but Thilan doesn't.

Someone else asked about Steph earlier so I'll just say they're good friends. Thilan is very fond of him.

Thilan considers Artoirel a good friend. Arty usually has a fairly calm energy that Thilan likes and he's not weird about long silences. Artoirel's office is a preferred hiding spot during social events at Fortemps manor.

Another AST Thilan fun fact: he can do a tarot reading but the results always predict something bad is about to happen.

Thilan thinks Leveva is very smart and nice. She's generally patient with him but he keeps breaking his astrometers and losing the cards but keeps casting spells like normal and that's equal parts perplexing and annoying.

Thilan likes Quimperain and actually thinks he's pretty handsome (he has a type, I guess) Since Quimp is a quiet guy Thilan tries to listen when he does talk. He has a whole page of notes about how to use sand to polish armor, for example.

I don't think Thilan knows Quimp and Janne are a couple.

Thilan doesn't quite know what Janne's job is? He guesses perhaps he is some kind of clown. Like in canon Janne will kind of present himself as if Thilan is his protege, so Thilan is an apprentice clown? He doesn't know if he's doing a good job at that or not.

AST is actually a canon Job for Thilan even though he doesn't heal much so he's pretty well acquainted with them.

Jannequinard is his friend. He's a funny little guy. Thilan understands about 2/3 of what comes out of his mouth. Since Janne talks a lot Thilan considers it sufficient.

I'm not sure Thilan fully understands the concept of a manservant or a page, so he kind of conceptualizes Honoroit's job as being a babysitter. And he will say it out loud since to him it is simply a fact.

Thilan also thinks it's kind of funny that Sicard pulled a gun on him that one time. Sicard is kind of embarrassed about it because what kind of idiot tries to pull a gun on the WoL?

As for Honoroit, Thilan hasn't interacted with him much one on one but he thinks he's smart and overall a good kid.

Thilan's also the sort of character who will just bluntly state or ask things that would be a bit shady from anyone else but to him are just facts. Emm catches strays this way a lot.

Sicard kinda does too. Thilan definitely called him Emm's boyfriend before either of them was willing to admit it.

Emmanellain is such a little brother. Like "I look out for this guy but also I get to tease him if I want." Emm is the only person who has this effect. He doesn't actively tease usually but I think his presence kind of enables Haurchefant to do it when he might not have before.

I realized after the fact I could have picked Lucifer as my middle name and kept the initials and despite the fact that my family is not religious my mom was pretty upset about me even joking about it.

I wanted to do the same thing with my middle name but it literally meant princess so that wasn't really an option. So I just picked a different name that used the same initial.

I would have just swapped to a masc form but technically my birth name was gender neutral so alternate gender versions didn't exist. So I picked a name that sounded more masculine but derived from the same linguistic root.

He's also very fond of Francel but thinks of him more as Haurchefant's friend than his own friend. They spend a fair bit of time together when Thilan and Haurchefant are home in Ishgard.

Stephanivien is his friend. Thilan walked into the manufactory without his glasses and was given a gun anyway. He's nice and fun to be around.
He's dating Artoirel in my personal canon and Thilan likes that their relationship seems to have loosened Arty up a bit.

Now that some time has passed Thilan can't really recall any of the details his thoughts on Riol mostly consist of "I can trust this guy implicitly" and "I feel vaguely guilty whenever we're in the same room."

If Riol is aware of the initial mistrust he's never said anything about it.

Thilan was pretty cognitively disabled for basically all of ARR and Riol was one of the only people that treated him like an adult. He thought it was kind of suspicious at first, and then felt really bad about it when Riol was one of the only people in the Crystal Braves who wasn't a traitor.

I don't tend to keep many screenshots of him but Thilan is transmasc and I ship him with Haurchefant. His transness is the least weird thing about him.

I thought about doing that 'give me an NPC and I'll tell you how my WoL feels about them' thing that was going around but I couldn't find any of those posts to grab the image off of.

Age verification / online ID check legislation literally forces companies to collect MORE data on children (and everyone else) not less.

We desperately need privacy, antitrust, and algorithmic justice legislation.

Not censorship bills like KOSA and expanded surveillance.

TBH I think some kind of hybrid model that contains both the ability to have a curated gallery and the ability to shitpost would probably work best. The media tab doesn't really work since it includes both if the shitposts happen to contain images. They'd need to be separate types of post.
