1 week after launch and we are over 25k plays! Wow, this is crazy. Thanks guys!

Game started as a simple concept. What if the N64 had online play? One thing led to another, and this is where we landed.

Much appreciate all the support so far!

Getting so close! I caved to player feedback and it took a year to address it.

They wanted progression
They wanted upgrades
They wanted things to customize
They wanted pets, so many times they said they wanted pets.

I'm nearly on the cusp of implementing all this. Whew.

The only hour of "free" time I have each day I use for game dev instead.

Issues that normally take a day to solve take me over a week at this rate. Been an extreme test of patience over the last 1.5 years.

Almost out the other side though! Channeled hunger of my early days.💪

I spent a lot of years helping and saying my piece, but I just realize that the cost of modern game dev is literally impossible. A game could make tens of millions and still be considered a flop. The industry is paralyzed with risk management.

Small dev is the only way forward it seems.

Someone told me they just look at product packaging for things like cleaners, snacks, toys, etc. Can get a lot of good color palettes from those. Helped me out a lot!

There's a troubling secret about Roblox games that allow you to "auto play" them...

These games get 💰 from Roblox whether you are at your device or not. They are taking advantage of you.

We want to make games that must be actively played and reward players who actively play! 😄

And while a lot of people certainly play GTA, not even close to the extent of the games they are trying to emulate for their business model.

It worked for GTA V because it took shape over a long period of time. If they did that again with a better plan to ramp up, that would be more successful imo.

It will no doubt be the biggest game launch in history.

The problem is that they want GTA to be a platform game, which requires numbers. The price tag and mature themes go entirely against that model.

The IP doesn’t fit what they are trying to do. Feels entirely greed driven. Not a good feeling.

Yeah, been playing since the first one. Since GTA 3 it’s been presented as sort of this HBO tv series in game form with a sandbox.

This honestly feels more like GTA 2, which was more sand boxy with a bunch of random missions. They are trying to expand too much and then force a GTA theme on it, imo.

It seems like the production is run by board members saying “how can we extract as much value as possible from this franchise?”

They’ve spent 3 decades building up this IP, and not once has it felt this off.

I hope I’m wrong, but it seems greed has ruined pretty much everything in this industry…

GTA VI will go down as the biggest flop in video game history…

1. GTA to compete with with Roblox and Fortnite, but at a $100+ price tag?

2. GTA V’s UGC was organic. Now it’s a wacky gaming playground?

3. Heavy on the sexualized marketing. Trying way too hard, seems off?
