Second this! I saw this yesterday and it was lovely. Particularly liked the way they use the actors in combination with the amount of roles. Go see it!

Enjoy, AdventureX is lovely! I did a lecture there some years ago, such a watm and fun crowd.

I know I’ve mentioned both of these games before but this is a good reason to do so again. Perfect combination to buy. Two of the best current story driven indie games and a must play for anyone interested in smart emotional interactive storytelling. Must buy!

Fun fact: the movie is based on a novella that many Dutch teens in the 90’s chose for their mandatory reading list as it was the thinnest book available and the title sounded cute (β€˜The Golden Egg’). Scarred them for life, esp the ones who thought they were smart and watched the film instead.

Well, David Hull standing in for Vella was the next best thing… Plus Josh Groban dropped by to honor Adam Schlesinger.
If you have no clue what this is about, check out Crazy Ex-Girlfriend somgs on YouTube. The series was pulled from Netflix unfortunately (they do have Rachel Bloom’s comedy show).

Crossing my fingers for a Vella Lovell surprise appearance.

Emma was the first Austen I read in school because I wanted to be different and not get one of the β€˜well known ones’ (the things you find important when you’re 11…). So I’ve always kept a soft spot for it even though I know it’s not the best by far - might want to reread it now too!

A photo of the stage of the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver before the show. We see an image of Taylor Tomlinson on a screen with a qr code for future dates. There is a mic and stool with bottle of water on stage. The curtains have a purple light hue. Front rows are packed with people.

Saw Taylor Tomlinson yesterday during her β€˜Save Me’ tour. Smart, funny and original, focusing on religious upbringing and other family issues. Highly recommend to see live (not just on Netflix). Opening act Dustin Nickerson was lovely, too.

On my way to Vancouver for two more days of doing shows at the Fringe, and annoyed that the internet connection on the ferry isn’t strong enough to watch the Fire Emblem announcement trailer…

Not making any excuses because I totally agree with you on the general Granville early closure issue, but there is in fact one dedicated β€˜late night washroom’ that stays open. It’s just not very easy to find. Unless you found it and they closed off even that one?!?

Forgot to mention my PAX highlights! I’m excited for Rollergirl, Birdseed VR (by local team Buffalo Buffalo) and Veil of the Witch. Played Kirby Air Riders demo but didn’t click with me. Also, not on PAX but do check out The Midnight Barber (not out yet) from a super talented small Spanish team.

First shows of β€˜the Song Collector’ tonight at Vancouver Fringe were nerve wrecking but wonderful. It was great to see people who never met before bond over music. Connections like that are essential right now.
