my take after using coding agents for a bit is that in the hands of a good engineer who knows what they're doing they can be a real game changer. the low expertise vibecoding approach can only get you so far before you get yourself in trouble.
I have personally found that with the right expertise you absolutely can use AI tools to produce better (and kind of more at the same time, it's great!)
these tools *are* useful. i've 33, i've been programming since 12, i can see they're useful firsthand. you do have to babysit them, but with the right direction they can cut weeks of work into days. it doesn't work for all kinds of tasks but for a competent engineer it's a great tool to have
so close to getting it...
now all that's left is a leap that from "Samuel also uses Claude" and "Samuel's work is really good" to maybe "software engineers who know what they're doing can get a lot of benefit from using Claude"
