I get this sentiment, but I think we have the leaders we've asked for, and I don't just mean Trump. Americans long ago chose consumerism and hedonism over civic responsibility and the past 25 years have been the bill coming due.
a guy who claimed to be named John Barron and sounded a lot like Trump called into C-SPAN to complain about the Supreme Court's tariff decision and call Hakeem Jeffries "a dope"
(John Barron is a pseudonym Trump has used for himself when talking to journalists)
Just gutted by this. Mad props and best wishes to Minnesota.

It's really too bad the United States Congress no longer exists.
If you're living somewhere outside the USA, one thing you can do is pressure your leaders to boycott World Cup and Olympic events here.
I spent an hour watching today live. I had to disconnect from it for a bit.
Conclusion that's easy to reach is one I reached a long time ago: None of this should be happening, ICE shouldn't in the streets, the military shouldn't be in the streets, and the blame goes right to the White House.

Mayor Frey: "To everyone listening, stand with Minneapolis, stand up for America. Recognize that your children will ask you what side you were on. Your grandchildren will ask you what you did to act to prevent this from happening again."
I am trying not to post on these events in this state of mind but: I hope people understand what the observers are doing is brave and dangerous.
