Oriol. Gone but not forgotten.
He's not dead - but dead to us now that he's not our intern.
But seriously, Oriolβs work in the world of DeTails is a testament to his talent and ability. Problem solver, writer and moustache wielder.
We look forward to crossing paths againπ«‘

New Years Resolution: To spell better.
Maybe... (Probably not).
Google is summarising our #indiegame studio as:
"Can You Eat It? is a Belfast-based game development studio, so you can't literally eat the company."
...But what if you could eat the company?
You've probably heard of Spotify Wrapped.
Announcing our very own...
CAN YOU EAT IT? WRAPPED 2025! π―
Baa humbug!
Merry Christmas from Pitch, and the full flock at Can You Eat It?! βοΈπ
We hope everyone had a cosy Christmas and picked up at least one nice woolly jumper for Boxing Day? π§Ά
#boxingday #gameart #indiegamedev #gamedev #cosygame
Nothing says Christmas like the plastic clack clack of Time Crisis guns!
Hereβs some of the CYEI crew enjoying the festivities, thanks so much to @nigamedev.bsky.social and @basearcade.bsky.social. π§‘
Been sculpting dog fur for the last few months and can reeeeeeally relate to this sentiment. π
I'm mad at how easy they make it look whilst shaking off literal mud.
Sun, sand and street art! π
This time a quiet back alley that just so happens to be much more important than it looks...

If there's a general interest, the team were thinking of doing some dev blogs for anyone wanting a peek at the full art breakdown... π
Thanks! We use a few projection techniques and make trim sheets straight from the concept art. Cami (a chameleon), can actually pull colours from the world and place them elsewhere... So this workflow makes it way easier for us to tweak colours on a larger scale.
Concept art and completed 3D scene showing a messy exterior area with beer bottles and graffiti cans in an eye-catching punk art style.
Hereβs one of our #indiedev scenes from concept art recreated into 3D.
Can you spot the difference? π
Weβre so proud to collaborate with so many amazing artists at Can You Eat It?. Understandably, we are very excited to show you what our art team have been up to whilst developing our #indiegame DeTails.
TONIGHT. 6PM-9PM π¨
Weβre thrilled to announce that DeTails will be part of an upcoming exhibition with @nigamedev.bsky.social celebrating games as art, and the art within games!
Weβd love it if youβd come down and check out some awesome art & games from local creatives.
And the results are inβ¦ π₯
Peanut will officially be featured in our #indiegame DeTails!
More pet competitions are on the horizon, so your furry friends are not completely out of the running...

Hey @canyoupetthedog.com.
We found a bug in DeTails!
If you approach the Isle of Dogs statue juuuuust right, you can pet the βsea dog.β π¦πΆ
Although⦠petting the actual townsfolk might be a bit condescending.
Missy, head of the Pitbull Terrors in Isle of Dogs is actually inspired by our Narrative Designer Eoghainβs pet staffy...and we want your pet to join her!
Another pet will be chosen to join the world of DeTails, complete with their own custom concept art.πΎ

And thatβs a wrap! It seems weβve left our voices behind at #Gamescom 2025. It was incredible to meet so many passionate people, share DeTails, and turn up the volume on what weβre building.
See you at the next stage!
Border Collie Sky nailed the 'Hal' look a little too well at QCon... No.1 DeTails cosplay? No contest.
#qcon #qcon2025
The QCon crowd really showed up for DeTails. It was really special to see others rooting for Cami alongside us (and Mrs. C.).
Hope everyone managed to grab some merch before Mrs. C. tried to keep it all for herself!
#qcon #qcon2025 #indiegame #indiegamedev
Come play with Cami at QCon 2025!
We have beats, paint, and no adult supervision. You in?

Still early days, but thrilled to be recognised by the Northern Ireland StartUp Awards 2025 - nominated for Creative StartUp and Media & Entertainment StartUp of the Year!
Big moment as we start sharing more of what weβve been building. Roll on the night in June!

Hey Paul, weβre Can You Eat It? - a Belfast-based studio. Creating a game about puerile, punk Chameleon with a lot to learn. Sheβs anxious, righteous and a little too eager to sneak onto this list if possible!
This is awesome. π We recently joined the game dev resettlement over at Bluesky and this is just what we were looking for to follow and support other indies!
Now, we wish we thought of that for yesterdayβs dress codeβ¦ next year itβs a must! (Donβt worry - weβll bring spares along too)β¦
The teamβs next trip is down to Galway for the incredible FΓS Games Summit. Weβll just be there for the vibes and the awesome speakers but if you want to talk chameleons, computer games and creativity (over coffee or cans!) give us a shout.

A stylised, grungy illustration promoting Can You Eat It? at the "Northern Ireland London Showcase at BAFTAs." The artwork features three anthropomorphic characters: a laid-back sheep holding a drumstick, a punk-styled chameleon playing with a game controller, and a tall swan leaning over a television screen. The screen displays the word "Details."
π£Band tour!
Some of the Can You Eat It? team will be over in London as part of the NI Showcase at BAFTAs.
Keep an eye out for a Chameleon on the streets looking for some graffiti inspiration!

Would you play this #cosygame? π¦π¨πΈ
(Some of our WIP shots).
We have officially landed! π¦
Can You Eat It? Will be dropping regular development updates here on Bluesky. So if you want to keep up with Cami and the punk powered world of Details give us a follow!
