I am a faculty member in the Learning Design and Innovation department, which at my institution facilitates and develops the teaching, learning, and digital pedagogy expertise in the university. By this time next year, we will be at half our current complement. In this climate, this is “efficient.”
This is such an important reframing of the conversation about automation, and senior leadership in universities will do well to heed it. (They won’t, because they’re beholden to boards full of MBAs without three creative thoughts among them, but still.)

As a Fernando Alonso stan, this F1 season is going to be long and depressing, so here are some things I'm hoping for to cheer me up along the way:
1. Antonelli beating Russell regularly enough to annoy Russell.
2. Liam Lawson losing to yet another less experienced teammate.
Ok. So you (1) can’t possibly have a rational conversation with anyone holding this view and (2) can’t possibly trust a media apparatus that is willing to pretend this is worth of broadcast.
