A killer soundtrack for a great game, and a great time to grab it.

(Beartato and Reginald, in a museum, gaze upon the Mona Lisa) BEARTATO: There it is. The Mona Lisa. The most famous painting in history. REGINALD: Wow! What's it do? BEARTATO: It... what? REGINALD: Why's it famous? What's it do? (Beartato thinks.) BEARTATO: I don't know. REGINALD (to nearly museum employee): Excuse me! Sir? What's it do? EMPLOYEE: You're the first person to ask! Watch this! (The employee yanks a pull-string. Mona Lisa's eyes spin around and her mouth opens like a puppet) MONA LISA: Honk honk! Honk honk! (Everyone is delighted. This is true art.)

Jean Claude Van Damme should be cast as Poirot
March 2 2026. Ken begins his new job as a storyboard revisionist. He worked from home his first day and had to spend a long time setting things up. He did end his first day with a few hours to tackle some revisions. Definitely less anxious this way, but slow going. So far, he's been left to his own devices. He already has some knowledge of Storyboard Pro, so the onboarding was cut down, but it was still weird being left alone. He kept getting asked if he had questions, but had no idea what he should be asking about. Otherwise, it has become tradition for him to have people working in animation studios be fascinated by his comics work. He thinks animation is much cooler. And so, the week finished back at home. The hours in his room were very easy to adjust to, but Ken had been preparing for this job for years. As for the revisions themselves, they've been fun, and Ken has likened them to like character posing puzzles to solve.

I'm trying to learn as much as I can, but I'm still a very fast artist(my special ability) and keep running out of things to do. In time I'll get used to the cycle but sure, I only have till May.
Until then, linktr.ee/detectiveken
Heyooo I made it into TCAF again, but I don't know if I can make it now just because it's so late hearing back. Well, stay tuned
I had noticed some sneaky Beat Takeshi about the shop on occasion
It was a crack in the exhaust causing a leak

So Philip Glass just joined TikTok. He only has like 4 posts and theyβre simply him in what I assume is his living room playing the piano. First comment on one I saw was βyour piano is too close to the fireplace, youβll dry it outβ and if thatβs not the internet in a nutshell I donβt know what is.

January 12 2026 In the mornings lately, Kenβs has taken to reading a few pages of a book before checking his phone. An attempt to read more that has unintentionally had the effect of giving him a moment of respite from the deluge of hell coming from the news. Often he feels that talking about world events in these comics are just screaming into the void, but weβre not even two weeks into the new year and a world leader was kidnapped and armed men are killing people in the streets for what can only be described now as Thought Crimes. And thatβs only the half of it. We also have the sheer cowardice of other countries refusing to take a stand. Irelandβs own βMedia Ministerβ came under fire for now have a firm stance on the governments presence on Twitter, which has gone so far as to allow people to produce sexualized images of children unabated. Not a black and white subject and Elon Musk should be held accountable. Over the week, Ken realized that January tenth was the ten year anniversary of David Bowieβs passing. It feels quaint now, back in 2016 have all those notable deaths throughout the year. Oh to go back to a time when that was the most earth shattering news we had to wake up to.

kill the imposter syndrome in you head because not only is there someone out there doing it worse than you, they're also using chat gpt to do it
Anyways.
February 23 2026. Kenβs week started with a job offer. The studio he visited a few weeks back needed a storyboard revisionist and Ken needed a start in the industry. A perfect storm. He went out and got some Aldi Wagyu meatballs to celebrate. There is a few caveats. Itβs only a two month contract with and unknown future. It makes it easier to take a risk on Ken and whatever happens, he gains the experience needed for a future role. Heβs also still heading to Japan right in the middle, but heβll try and take on some hours while there. They donβt want to take his holidays away, but itβs evening there when itβs morning in Ireland so his daytime is free either way. In news related to his future commute, His car passed its NCT, but needed a little more work done to be in top shape. Itβs definitely hard for him to not be excited for the next few months. Of course, these comics will continue. Usually a full time job makes Ken MORE productive.

More colour appreciation with this afternoon's reading - Magic 8 Ball, the new anthology from @eoinstephens.bsky.social collecting his comics from last year. This is exactly my type of thing and it might be yours if you like speculative fiction, puns, fairytale adaptations and bitter little twists.
Dammit it's "Behind the Twilight"
This is like that Balan Wonderworld thing where we all inexplicably read it as "Wonderland"
Tasomachi: Beyond the Twilight, three stars. Short enough, super affordable during sales, collectathon that has no combat, but neat little platforming puzzles. Takes it easy on you though, so if any of the main puzzles give you trouble you can just pay to activate a portal to skip it. I do wish there was just more of those kinds of puzzles, because there's about 8 total before they just let you loose to collect things in the open areas.
#7: Tasomachi: Beyond the Twilight
Actually no, what happened was it was sold on keyshops for less than β¬2, until October 2022 when it suddenly shot up and has been climbing since.
Actively mad that it was delisted mere days before I tried to hunt it down on PC(like 2022? 23?) but I did get it on XBox backwards compat and it feels a game out of time. A relic of the Id era ten years late.
The secret hero of Moore's Swamp Thing run.
Tatjana Wood has apparently passed away at age 99. Her father was Jewish so during WW2 her parents sent her to the Netherlands, then NY. She studied as a dressmaker, met/married Wallace Wood and began assisting him, then pivoted to becoming one of the best colorists in comics.
