relation is how much of a gun nerd the artist cared to be. some designs directly reference the gun's usage and history, some only have a few references to maybe its nationality and such. and many have no relation at all (which is technically the GFL canon)

seriousness is how much does a character's design reasonably looks like a combat outfit for anime girl standards. serious designs are often some kind of military uniform or incorporate tacticool stuff. unserious designs are usually not related to the whole Frontline bit and do other stuff
