A big draw of the game-design-by-A/B-testing type thinking is that it absolves you from having to form your own opinions & taste. It allows you to outsource the most difficult part of any creative endeavour: actually believing in your vision.

Question for devs still on twitter and bsky:
How do you decide what goes on which platform?
HEY 👇
so secretly we've been working with a cabal of indie devs making the type of strange & distinctive games that we love to play on noclip_2.
tomorrow we're announcing a SHOWCASE on noclip_2 as part of an upcoming Steam Festival about these games.
it's gonna be fun.
we hope you tune in.
Tom and his team are really cool, and this is a great field within "games for impact" to get into, because it's likely to expand a lot.

I know Horsey Game looks like a joke with a crude, janky style, but I’m 8hrs in and it’s the funniest, most brilliantly designed game I’ve played in years.
I could list dozens of hilarious emergent moments from my playthrough but I don’t want to say too much.

Dear project management software company
This ai image is not giving 'awesome project manager'. It looks like someone sent a kid from the childhood bits of IT into the future from Bill and Ted to learn how to make synth music but instead they got pod people'd and now they just want me to join them

I really enjoyed seeing Em present this talk last year at EmCon, it contains some really valuable advice for indies who get distracted from their health in pursuit of their passions.
people should go see Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie because it's very good and also i want weird indie canadian stuff to do well

I don't think anything is more exciting to me than a whole 2010-"fuck it, this is cool/important to me, we're making it"-coded indie game, made by a team-up of two of the most notable indie devs still standing of their dinstinct waves of indie devs, over what is basically a decade of work.
This is some very fancy food / cooking tech in this demo!

Working on my PD talk & thinking about how survival games are also just labor... Whether the game offers pressure or safety, seems maybe like a bad indicator of the state of the world that we have collectively drifted so strongly towards virtual labor over the last dozen years or so
(great piece!)
