Beautiful waterfall in mossy woodland near Dolgellau in mid-Wales
Before my daily timer for BlueSky kicks in here's a lovely waterfall in mid-Wales (the 'Torrent Walk' near Dolgellau)
We are living in a world where people increasingly believe any old nonsense... (which is partly why I pay a few quid to Full Fact every month)- yesterday evening at my kid's football session a nice dad starting telling me about about COVID being manufactured to reduce the world population...π€¦ββοΈ
I honestly don't know if I can face reading it though... is it worth it when I could instead be playing 'Taco, Cat, Goat, Cheese, Pizza' with my kids...
I volunteer at an ESOL class for mainly refugee women and it has reinforced for me how hard and rubbish English is compared with other languages with consistent pronunciation and grammatical rules...
Is it lawful to continue operating with that level of losses?
This isnβt a hallucination, Michael Gove. Youβve never explained the millions you disbursed to buddies with your crony Covid Contracts.
Cashing in on the worst public health crisis in a century should disbar people from public life permanently.

I'm going to see if my peri/meno brain will allow me to memorise such a complex joke without messing it up in the retelling- it's a good one π
She really is a bit of an idiot... But then most of the people who survived Johnson's cull of Tories with any degree of empathy and intelligence over Brexit could also be described thus...
Screenshot of 1960s patriotic all-American cartoon hero Roger Ramjet in a white all-in-one with red gloves and a a blue cape. His jaw is exaggeratedly square & his fist raised in a cross between a salute and a demonstration of how big his biceps are.
Roger Ramjet came to mind when I was thinking of Hegseth but he was just a bit hopeless as a military hero not actually a deeply flawed charlatan...
Well given Wales benefitted from loads of EU regional development funding pre-Brexit, the people of Wales should be very suspicious of whether Reform actually have their interests at heart at all... I so hope that the more people see of that thin-skinned grifter the less appealing he'll become.
But hopefully you have more flags now...π€¦ββοΈ
Sounds like the kind of things someone might say on a resume... I'll believe it when I see non AI generated photographic evidence...

For some reason this made me think about the Hunger Games- which I've only just gotten round to watching (will also read the books one day!)

South Brum was probably Warwickshire and Worcestershire, but as a former resident of Alcester who has made her life 25 miles up the road I would definitely describe myself as a West Midlander or adopted Brummie rather than identifying with a county these days... (you can tell it's my day off today!)
You think he played sports?
They truly have all the best kind of people in Reform...
Birmingham is not broken
Birmingham is brilliant
I Choose Birmingham @ichoosemag ZEPHANIAH: "Concrete with a heartbeat" I was born where the Beorma people made home, Handsworth, in Brummagem. For many of my early years I thought this town to be a cold suburb Of Kingston, Jamaica. My then girlfriend Jasvinder Basra Thought it to be a cold suburb of Jullunder, India, And we were both right. We, in our puppy love innocence Knew that it was only a matter of time and space, We Dark Matter grew up holding hands Listening to Reggae and Bhangra Eating channa and ackee, And playing doctors and nurses somewhere in the future.
Handsworth does that to you, Historic and progressive, It wakes but never sleeps Concrete with a heartbeat. A private space for all its children That is full of stars and it keeps expanding, It is where voices from the past speak to us Every day, lived in voices Of working class heroes reminding Us that we are all Brummies, But me and Jasvinder knew this anyway. I saw riots in Handsworth, I saw revolution loitering on the streets Where money had been thrown down drains In front of people who were needy, But I also saw energy laden creators Bringing hope, And building sites of new galaxies In Brummagem, the centre of it all. This is where I discovered the nature of the universe, This is where I realised That The Theory of Everything leaves a lot to be desired, This is where The postman taught me that everything needs poetry, And that it is not gravity that gives us roots But the things we do to ourselves. But it was me that said relativity needs to relate, Space stops everything happening to you, And in my humble opinion Faith and tradition will live next to progress For as long as it takes.
Cosmology? Well thatβs all about me and Jasvinder. It all started with us In Handsworth in Brummagem, Where the philosophers of Grove Lane And the great thinkers of Soho Road Now recite Alpha and Omega continually. Astrophysics? Thatβs about the nature of our celestial bodies The application of our physical policies And the intensity of our cultural intercourse, Itβs about the way we greet when we meet And the exploration of possibilities, And it must be known That all scientific studies have shown that Brummies are at home with new horizons And a multi-layered concept of place. Time? Space? Time invented itself to stop everything Happening at once. Space was grateful It had been given room to manoeuvre. They remain good friends. 12:14 PM Β· Dec 7, 2023 77.6K Views
Zephaniah's Birmingham / Handsworth love song
"The Big Bang"
And it must be known
That all scientific studies have shown that
Brummies are at home with new horizons
And a multi-layered concept of place
And in my humble opinion
Faith and tradition will live next to progress
For as long as it takes
Wow-what a beautiful poem about our wonderful melting pot city... let's hope Reform do a lot worse than they are anticipating in the May elections π
Reform UK will be using scrapping the 20 mph limit as a key Welsh manifesto pledge.
Thereβs been a 11.8% fall in road casualties in the 18 months since it was brought in. The majority of 16-34 year olds support the 20 mph limit.
Another case of Reform being out of touch with future generations.
Reform- bringing back dirty air, needless road deaths and drink driving (not sure if they've announced that one yet π)- for a brighter future vote for the grifting charlatans in turquoise.
What an absolute ππ that charlatan is π‘
Not sure if this might work...
