New (already documented turns out) #Pokémon Emerald discovery!
Starting gen 4 by shiny hunting Piplup.
They're for completing certain milestones in the game. For Emerald you get a star for;
-Defeating the Champion
-Completing the Hoenn Dex
-Getting all 5 contest paintings in the Art Museum
-Collecting all the Gold Battle Frontier Symbols
8 games, 11 shinies and a living dex of 383 Pokémon all obtained legitimately with no glitches or cheats. The only 3 I couldn't get were Mew, Celebi and Deoxys.
A flawed generation but now that I've played these games to death I appreciate them so much more. I can't wait to start gen 4.

Finally... A 4 star gold trainer card, defeated Steven at Meteor Falls and all of my shinies across all of my Gen 3 games are ribbon masters.
Emerald is complete and I've finally finished generation 3 of Pokémon.

Armaldo is a bug Pokémon with armor plates preventing critical hits. It is also one of the few Pokémon that learn Knock Off in gen 3. I also used it in my Heart Gold post game play through because its a version exclusive. Therefore, Armaldo is a pretty cool Pokémon.
