I remember after watching a screening of Irreversible at uni, one of the other students saying to a friend afterwards: "I'm going to go home and watch Toy Story." One of the wisest things I've ever heard.
Apparently the first news programme to introduce the last news story with "And finally..."
It's a pity director Basil Dearden isn't better remembered, especially considering how progressive some of his films could be. However this is the film of his I most admire!
It is as great as it sounds! Considering the time in which it was made it is remarkably down to earth and clearly knew the gay scene in London.
Speaking as a Brit, the feeling isn't mutual.
My very controversial opinion is that I think I might prefer it over Superman II. This is partly because I'm not that keen on II and while III is massively let down by its cringingly unfunny comedy focus, the other half is mostly solid and Reeve finds a lot of extra depth to his different personas.
Hopefully seeing it on Friday (or if not, very soon). Love all of Mischief Theatre's stuff!
Ok, Duncan, we get the hint. We'll have a whip round and get this for your birthday (and happy birthday fellow 30th May-er!!)
Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning⦠Choose to accept!
Masterminded by a rogue Russian extremist too!
Probably the best demonstration of what Bridge Command is. Immersive theatre can sometimes be hard sell (as said in the video, βimmersiveβ can mean so many things) but People Make Games have captured exactly what this immersive, sci-fi gaming experience is. Itβs a privilege to work/perform here!
Thoroughly enjoyed last night's screening of Mission: Impossible - Fallout at the BFI IMAX. Having Tom Cruise give a quick in-person intro was the icing on the cake! Action cinema at its finest! #bfi #missionimpossiblefallout #imax #tomcruise

It should go without saying that trans women are women and trans men are men, but why is it that whenever this is brought into question trans people are excluded from the discussion? It's like when women's rights are decided entirely by men.
Bond and mental health are two things which are of great importance to me, so I was delighted when I had the opportunity to discuss both these topics on @licencetoqueer.com's Our Minds Only podcast. Apologies for any incoherent rambling π
TW: self harm, thoughts on suicide
And I just won the pub quiz I was hosting!
Please, David, no nightmare fuel at this hour π΅
'You changed your shirt, Mr. Bond'
Good heroes don't wear suits when fighting bovine villains who will never ever understand what good tailoring, gravitas, poise, context, heroism, and manners really are.

Since The Pythons Autobiography lists your date of death as 01/04/3039, where do you see yourself in the next 1,000 years?
And each time I keep thinking, "Well at least he won't be able to do anything worse than that..." π
35mm + 70mm screenings, all night movie marathons, double bills, special guest Q&As, weekly Β£1 member screenings, everything from new releases to century old silents (sometimes with a live score) to high-brow classics to forgotten B-movies: the greatest cinema! you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/sa...
THIS is what Christianity is about!
Got given this for Christmas! Have a few other books to get through first but I'm really looking forward to this one.
Very proud to have worked on 3 of these 30 shows last year! It's incredible how much immersive theatre has taken off in London.
