Doors of Stone is not coming out anytime soon. Don't deprive yourself of rereading two excellent books because of that. My very favorite fantasy series is also suffering from "the next book is almost 10 years overdue" syndrome, and I reread those all the time too. I am ever-hopeful!

They are my second favorite fantasy books, and while I also have very little hope for the conclusion to the trilogy, I love them enough that I will reread them every few years for the rest of my life. YMMV.

Rereading The Name of the Wind and I forgot that the narrator mispronounces alar for the whole first book. (He says "AIL-er" and not "ah-LAR" like alarm with no m). I couldn't remember why I stopped listening to this one for rereads & switched to exclusively reading it with my eyes & now I remember.
