leper darkest dungeon style pup hood
happy gumpest hour
Seven Samurai is obviously a classic but watching it I can't help but think it'd be better if there was eight and instead of samurai they were crazy nights
2-headed man named Hugh Janus
why would that be a reason to leave doesn't the ceo suck ass?
well thanks for that, I'd rather just let it sit though, nothing seems to have come from it beyond a couple of my mutuals realising who they are and I'd prefer for it to stay that way
I do wanna say though, please don't involve me in this beyond what I've said already, I don't have any desire to do more than just state where I stand on this and I'd really rather not get in some dumb drama
otherwise I wouldn't worry about what may or may not be happening, if someone wants to stalk me I don't care, I don't have anything serious to hide, if weird people wanna harass me I'll just not feed into it and they'll get bored eventually
it's whatever, unless someone does something really fucked up behind my back like spreading genuinely fucked up lies about me then I don't really care, I trust that the people I actually care about online are smart enough to tell me if someone's being weird about me instead of believing them
i think it's more than that even, what you consider a failure personally can result in something that someone else sees as a strength in whatever you make
obviously you're the main person you should make your art for, but still that's a cool part of showing it to other people
I think a big thing I've realised in the last year or two is that the failings and shortcomings are as much of a necessary and even aspirational part of any piece of art as it's strongest pieces, there's a lot of beauty in things going nothing like how you envisioned them
yeah I mean I think there's a charm to shitty extremely amateur code too, it may be shoddily held together by rubber bands and duct tape but it's an honest representation of me, not very competent but still able to will something into somewhat resembling what I have in my head despite that
I did design it around the hl1 dev console, originally just as a placeholder look but then i put too much effort into trying to make it accurate so I might just go with that
mission hill, the oblongs and clone high are the 3 where I find it genuinely confounding that they didn't get more episodes because they all had such a strong sense of their identities right from the start, especially mission hill which is just so strong the whole way through
in the sphere of short-lived adult animated comedies from the late 90s/early 2000s God, The Devil and Bob feels like a reverse version of The Critic where it started off really strong and then got really weak and ran out of steam as it went on
ya
this is something that I'm being reminded of constantly as I'm trying to make myself a website atm
it's all spaghetti code to some degree
so retro
as I've come to understand it, in online discussion there's a goliath difference between gamers and Gamers
honestly in some of their songs it feels like they use the vocals more like another instrument, like in wolf in cheap clothing the lyrics gesture vaguely at ideas that sound sombre and then empowering but when you sit down to read it as a whole you're like "what the fuck does that mean?"
obligatory Juno mentioning thank you scientist in relation to something moment: I think they have to be the biggest example of this for me because their lyrics have meaning usually but it's nothing super complex or deep most of the time, meanwhile instrumentally they've kinda nailed feelings
I am kinda DDifying the idea in my head though so this could be totally incongruous with how you're picturing this thing
I do actually rlly like this idea though, I think it'd make more sense if mild temperatures were ideal for stats and both hot and cold have significant downsides and upsides but there's some kind of risk-reward thing where hot and cold have positive events/loot that are exclusive to them
coldest dungeon
the former is really funny to me as a phrase bc it's literally just grown adults doing the "siiigh I was born in the wrong generation" thing but in different words
but if you don't let me blame "young gen zers" or gen alpha for everything wrong with the world then I'll have no way to disguise my "everyone is stupid except me" statements as social commentary :(((
like it makes it extremely easy for people to blanket dismiss anti-censorship when these people are trying their hardest to make themselves the face of that while also exclusively arguing with 14 year olds online at about the same level of insults as them
THIS AS FUCK
I hate that people who label themselves "proshippers" are the most present and active in online discourse around censorship because they focus on what random teenagers say over actual serious censorship or discussion with adults and just generally act really childish
