We welcome the Council's unanimous decision to finalise the full entry of Bulgaria and Romania into the Schengen Area as of 1 January 2025. The EPP has championed this cause from the very start. This is another step towards a robust Schengen Area and EU integration.
EPP Finance Ministers met in Brussels ahead of today's ECOFIN Council.
They discussed on the economic situation in the member-states & the economic and financial impact of the Russia's continuous aggression against Ukraine.
The new @ec.europa.eu takes over on 1 December!

Our President Manfred Weber, alongside PN President Bernard Grech, has officially kicked off the event here in Malta, warmly welcoming delegates and setting the tone for two days of engaging discussions.

Negotiators from the European Parliament and Member States agreed on a set of five new laws to better control #migration flows to Europe.

The agreement on a new Migration & Asylum Pact is a major breakthrough to protect our external borders, break smugglers' networks & offer solidarity to EU's frontline states.
It is also a vindication for the EPP as we have chanpioned the need for a robust 🇪🇺 migration policy.
At the EPP Summit, leaders discussed Russia's aggression against Ukraine, the situation following the attack on Israel, EU enlargement policy, the revised Long-Term Budget 2021-2027, and security and defense issues.
