It adds context to the past story of the Amani in an interesting way.

Battle pet Kai from Stormarion Assault Cache. It's been given a magical pet biscuit, making it grow bigger than a player.

For real though, why are Ultradons not hunter pets in #WorldofWarcraft?
- NPCs keep them as pets
- They are treated as animals
- They look cool

I don't care if it's exotic or not. I want one. This battle pet is only able to tide me over so much.

this is really funny because earlier in my guild's discord we had 2 players have to duck out from dungeon runs tonight because they both had birthday obligations 😂

poor girl :( it's so hard giving pets medicine that you know will help them but they don't understand and it's just a stressful event for everyone

This is exactly why WoW NEEDS a lore team to check quest material. The Sunwell did NOT cure blood elf magic addiction, it just sated it at a stable rate that kept blood elves operating as normal. They need(ed) it to survive. Putting something like this in game is a staggering retcon!

yeah like, sure it's big for a battle pet but it's not big in contrast with something like a hunter pet??? I don't get the issue or why they went out of their way to change it

I think Fidoficus (the npc) is the size that Kai *used* to be 😢

🫂 it's hard when it's something so seemingly inconsequential to most players but it meant a lot to us

like there's so many actual detrimental bugs happening in the game but they go out of their way to do this? 😭 yeah I'm gonna feel a little sour about that

sorry, tonight's mood is bummed out because they just shrunk my favourite collectible pet of the expansion and this is my blog so I'm going to vent about it

please revert him for the 3 of us that care, I can't see how it would cause any harm or interfere with gameplay in a way that existing hunter/warlock/death knight pets wouldn't already do, which are obviously much larger

I haven't seen anyone running around in game with this pet besides myself but I know out of the little pet collecting community everyone who has him was ECSTATIC about his size because it was just a really fun detail on an already cool pet

Kai felt SPECIAL being, from what I can ascertain, the largest sized battle pet we've had to date

we still have some large pets but this one (again: default name Kai, like Kaiju) felt like a really nice perk for collectors, especially after gutting the pet battles

players can do this but god forbid we have a tall battle pet 😮‍💨

I haven't seen a single other person with it in game yet

he's *one* special pet, players already have hunter pets that are much larger and out all the time, I doubt even a significant amount of people would obtain and keep THIS battle pet out often

it was harmless and a nice perk for him to be big, it suited his name!! (Kai = Kaiju)

😢This kind of breaks my heart... this is such an unnecessary change.
At least that's how I see it, if there was an important reason for it, fine, I just don't see one. ☹️
