Whatever the target at Mehrabad Airport was, it was something. Many residents describe it as the loudest explosion they have heard since the start of the war, and it is still burning.

They are usually held in high regard by Iranians, as you might know. But like any other organisation inside, they face intense pressure from the regime, especially nowadays.
Under Resolution 211 of the Supreme Judicial Council, and as a signatory to the ICCPR, the Islamic Republic's judiciary must implement legal measures during wartime or emergencies to mitigate risks to prisoners, including granting emergency leave, temporary releases, bail adjustments, and transfers.
Prisoners across Iran, most of whom are political, are currently suffering severely due to shortages of food, medicine, and contact with the outside world.
The Islamic Republic is failing to uphold its obligations to safeguard the right to life and the security of those deprived of liberty.
President Trump said during a telephone interview on Thursday that he backs the Kurds launching an Iran offensive.
"I think it's wonderful that they want to do that, I'd be all for it," Trump said.
