What else can we do, end online sales and posts and only sell through local craft fairs?
I first read that as "I don't want to block unicorns" π€£
Maybe line up a frock from 2006 for a mock red carpet photoshoot?
Good time to stock up on paper maps and reference books now that the internet is broken. Or am I just old fashioned in liking true facts.
Some great Canadians, look put for female mogul skier and stunning figure skating couple today
A round transparent waterglass circle with coloured enamels applied over a resist to leave cler patches in the shape of an ammonite. The enamels in blue, green and orange are swirled into each other giving varied colour effects. The glass circle is in a black metal display stand.
Continuing the ammonite theme here is the latest experiment.
Dove Screen Enamels were applied over a vaseline resist. Given the smoke & fumes from the kiln firing I would not recommend vaseline & will be trying other resists. Keen to hear suggestions...

Just showed this to my friend who owns this painting, would you come to our local watercolour group one monday morning, we would love to meet you to talk watercolours!
Got to give a shout out & thanks to Debby Dyson from
Snobbyeddycrafts.co.uk
and Vendulka Battais from
oliven.co.uk for todays wild flower applique workshop.
Lovely participants, amazing skilled step by step demonstrations and supportive and encouraging inspiration in a fabulous creative space.
Elevation to drain swelling- what a shock!
A blue square fused glass panel with 3 kiln carved ammonites, a black glass paint seashell and seaweed, a copper shell and copper wavy seaweed inclusions. The panel has bubbles from the fusing process in the kiln and a hole where a big bubble popped which people have been kind enough to say could have been deliberate (but it wasn't).
A fused glass panel based on my father's fossil collection from holidays on the wonderful Dorset Jurassic Coast in the 1960s &70s. It missed #Artadventcalendar as it was a present!

What do you think when someone follows you but hasn't liked any of your posts? I find this a bit odd as more often someone likes something but doesn't necessarily follow which is completely fine. Is a follow without a like a bot?
I would ask "Why are you using AI when you have expert horticultural staff and students who could make the stories of these plants come alive for visitors?"
"...withdraws from the market" ? at a market people get paid for what they produce they don't just give it away for others to profit from.
I agree true colours on show here.
Astonishing admission from Ollie Ilott, the Director General for AI in the British government.
He says you wouldn't want an opt-out from AI training to be too easy to use, because the primary goal would be to get more work for AI companies to train on π€―

Jack in the film Titanic raising is arms and shouting "I'm King of the world" before the whole ship sinks and he tragically drowns.
Well we know what happened to Jack when he felt like he was king of the world.....
So scared for all of you on the front line of sanity v safety.
Kind of a poem, kind of a prayer, kind of a panic. Knots in my stomach Global stress & gastric stress Not feeling family in USA are safe Not feeling USA is a Uk Ally Not feeling good about living near US airbases in UK Not feeling the usual creative impulses Not feeling like getting out of bed Not feeling like the social media disclosure requirements matter Not feeling like the offers of Β£49 flights to USA are tempting Not feeling like USA has calculated the economic impact on the rest of you of the individuals maximising their personal gain Safety v sanity what a choice What can we do... Hug our kids Be kind to our neighbours Make art Read books Hold our elected officials to account Pray

Where are we going people?
A star cluster within a nebula. The background is filled with thin, pale blue clouds. Parts are thicker and pinker in colour. The cluster is made up of bright blue stars that illuminate the nebula around them. Large arcs of dense dust curve around, before and behind the clustered stars, pressed together by the starsβ radiation. Behind the clouds of the nebula can be seen large numbers of orange stars.

Instantly recognisable, great painting.
It was such a big change when the high street was pedestrianised in 1974.

Thank you, it is great to try new things, welcome to glass fusing, so many possibilities to try!
A clear glass fused panel with seaweed like shapes in copper and carved into the back of the glass. With copper and carved swirls and a lovely random bubble effect caused by the kiln firing process. Panel is in a wooden stand with a countryside view from the window behind.
Day 24
Copper inclusions and kiln carving using ceramic fibre and papers in this under the sea fusing experiment.
Bubbles courtesy of the kiln firing process add to the sparkle!

A square panel of glass in stripey blue and white where fusing has created a lens like circular pattern pushing the straight lines into curves. A blue sky with wispy clouds can be seen in the background.
