Last BoaNE thought. They showed a bunch of ads for like 20 minutes before it started and oh my god. I genuinely don't think I like movie culture. Every single one was just a mix of these lines followed by the most obnoxious trailercore remix of some '80s song you're supposed to clap because you know
I really needed Umamusume. If I didn't install the game on a whim the day after I got let go from Toontown Rewritten, I don't know if I'd be alive. If I were, I'd be miserable and convinced I was a failure. I need a reason to keep running as far as I can. I'm so proud to be an Umamusume fan. Amen.
In general, we should think more like Umamusume. Baby, they were born to run. They decide on their life's dreams and run after it as hard as they can. Along the way, they not only let themselves be lifted up rather than discouraged by their competition but inspire others in their wake to follow them
From there, I want my light to radiate and shine down upon others. I want my audience to not just be positively impacted by my art but to genuinely want to pursue it too. And should they say that, I want to be sure that they too can fulfill their dreams like I did.
Really what stood out to me the most is the way Jungle Pocket works her way up from a cocky newcomer to a shining light that inspires both her greatest inspiration and her retired rival to return. To be a light like that is my life's dream. I want to pursue my art in a way only I can to my fullest.
BoaNE felt a little faster than I was expecting, even at nearly two hours. I almost wish we got more of a slow burn with more time between races. I also wanted to see a little more from the supporting cast. Dantsu Flame is precious even if she never won any races. Manhattan Cafe kinda doesn't exist
The theater experience was electric. I've never been much of a movie guy and barely watch them in my own house, but the absolute sensory assault during important races gets turned up to 11 on the big screen. Essentially having a private screening of that is pretty damn unforgettable.
My theater was completely empty. It sucked because I wanted to meet some new oomfapyois, but as a first-time watcher it was nice having nothing between me and the movie. I was all the way in the back in the middle of the row, the best seat I could have asked for. I still joined in for Umapyoi Legend
Beginning of a New Era thoughts. Solid 8/10, not a generational masterpiece but still very good. Great story about running tirelessly towards your goals and enduring hardship with some absolutely insane animation and sound design. Blessed to be part of history by watching anime horsegirls run around
