Had the great privilege of being in NYC over the weekend to visit my MIL and see my niece. We caught an off-Broadway show, Data, and had great views of the park.
It rained the entire time, but our hotel had a rabbit theme - so around every corner, Max seemed to be winking and saying hello. πβ€οΈ
The β90βs. Thereβs no punk or material girl left over from the β80βs. There no glamour or celebrity sightings. The β90βs were being a mom to sweet Max, traveling for work, occasional vacations, and lots of laughter with B and family and friends. π
Loved being at a rare 1:00 Preds game today to cheer on the home team with Tom, Maxβs bestie since kindergarten, and his beautiful wife, Hailey. While the Preds ultimately fell short, they definitely had the crowd on their feet and it was a fun game!
It was such a great pleasure to enjoy a beautiful meal cooked by Chef Margot recently and to once again be reminded of how food can feed your stomach and your soul.
Sadly, Margot Cafe will close on June 5 - but until then, make a reservation, pull up a seat to the bar and feel the love.
B and I had the best time celebrating his birthday recently at Peninsula Nashville.
As always, Chef Jake Howell didnβt disappoint - and each dish was a culinary delight! It was great to see general manager Yuriko Say, and the bar under Craig Schoen produced a wonderful birthday cocktail. πΉ
With everything going on in the world, our minds need a break now more than ever.
Do something brainless today, and I hope you have a relaxing weekend. β€οΈ

The start of Ramadan began last night. To all who observe this holy month, I wish peace to your heart and blessings to your lives.
Happy Lunar New Year! May the Year of the Horse bring motion, independence, courage and freedom to all of us. ππ
Tomorrow is World Radio Day π» so I wanted to tell yβall about my new favorite radio show!
Check out Rebellion Radio every Saturday from 12 AM TO 12 AM, and leave them a message any time.
US Congressman, Rep. John Lewis, is a towering reminder of Nashvilleβs history in the non-violent resistance movement. At a time with resistance is imperative, he reminds us of the way forward. Meeting him was the honor of a lifetime. β€οΈ
Black History is Nashville history. Here are some ways to celebrate this month. β€οΈ
Thank you to City Cast Nashville for putting together this incredible list! You can check out their full guide on their website.
Itβs been over a week since Winter Storm Fern hit Nashville, and many of our neighbors are still without power.
Itβs going to take all of us for our city to recover from this storm. Thank you to Nashville Banner for this wonderful list of ways we can help each other. β€οΈ
Nashville has been hit really hard this week with Winter Storm Fern. My family is lucky - although we donβt have power yet, weβve had a warm place to stay. So many in Nashville donβt. Please check in all your friends and family. Letβs keep hope and our loved ones alive. π±β€οΈ
As remember Lilly Ledbetter today, we honor the lesson illustrated by her life and accomplishments: we can make a difference in this world, so long as we never give up.
Yesterday my friends at Record Bin Radio launched a new morning show: Rebellion Radio. Tune in each weekday from 7-9 AM (PT) for two hours of protest songs, information, and community.
This Friday in support of the nationwide strike, theyβre opening the live stream to everyone from 7-7.
Today let us remember the over 11 million people who ultimately died at the hands of a fascist state. βNever again,β was the call that came after. However, those who forget the past or who chose to deny it - are doomed to repeat it. βNever againβ must continue to be our cry. βNever again.β
Heartbroken for Alex Pretti and his family. Heartbroken for all the victims of ICE violence. Heartbroken for our country. π
I hope heβs better soon. Sweet pup. Sending lots of love.
Iβm so honored to have been invited to talk with these ladies at Women of Worth (WOW). We discussed my memoir, leading to great conversations on recovery, self-forgiveness, and hope.

Today we honor not only Dr. Martin Luther King, but the Civil Rights Movement.
May we move with love, and may America find its moral compass to once again embrace the greatest force in the universe.
I had the best time meeting up with Clippings of Hope Community members in Chicago. Thank you everyone for coming out!
And thank you to Terrie and her OG book club and the new book club - for inviting me to discuss Itβs What You Do Next. β€οΈ
