This is a real genuine question btw. I tried to make this doodle fit ALBW mostly, but as I was looking at it I really did struggle to figure out how exactly to define which version it is without coloring, since that does an insane amount of heavy lifting.
Please tell me who and why so I can test.
Well...yes, but that isn't answering the incarnation question. Because the way I drew this Link feels like a match for many different versions, as I was trying to show with the colorings (could be zelda1/aol, alttp, la, oracle, albw, ect. depending on the reading)
Uncolored paper sketches of a "classic" Link
Zelda 1/Adventure of Link colors
A Link to the Past colors
A Link Between Worlds colors
Hey guys cool fun question: Which incarnation of Link does this sketch fit to the most? Because I literally don't know and it's driving me insane!!!
Video gams I think idk I saw this going around and I'm a filthy trend chaser
AAAUUUUHHHHH. HE'S EVERYWHERE. THERE'S AN INFESTATION OF SEVERAL FLAVORS.
haaaii
I am placin' blocks and shit
I'll go back to being normal soon I swear, just humor me for a bit longer while I'm having fun
Yeah I REALLY don't like this game anymore please let me out
Actually I don't think I like this game anymore
Hanging out with the fam
I would like to leave
NO LMAO that's the youtuber Kurtis Conner
I had a popout window open of his newest video playing
Technically half the time it is since I keep leaving it paused
My workflow on this stupid build project looks very very brainrotted, but I assure you, everything on the screen is contributing to my focus
A digital illustration of Link from Majora's Mask. He is wearing the bunny hood and playing the ocarina of time with his eyes closed. A large pair of white wings unfold from behind him, in reference to the animation that plays when using the Song of Soaring from the game. The background is a dark red gradient with a semi-transparent bubbly overlay.
So yeah I've been replaying Majora's Mask...again. Absolutely stellar game that remains as one of my favourites forever and ever.
Have you ever thought about how fun the swifter traveling systems in it is conceptually and visually? I did, and it's why I drew this lmao

Unfortunately I would suggest against playing the 3ds version of Majora. For every quality of life change, there's like 3 downgrades from the original that they thought needed "fixing" or that just generally dumb down the experience.
It's a beautiful experience that makes me feel every emotion, and I keep finding new things in it each time. It's one of my annually replayed games for a reason.
I've definitely gotta play it now.
Been thinking about streaming things like you, so maybe I could start with that.
AND ANOTHER THING. The fucking. Bomber's Notebook Happy Stickers. The smallest little additional detail but it's. Just. Fuck. There is no reason for Link to keep track of this shit. None. The clock keeps being put back to the start and nobody remembers what he did. So why keep it written down? Because HE remembers. He holds onto that joy and continues on anyway knowing that he did something good. THAT is what Majora's Mask is about. It's about finding hope and kindness in a world out to get you, and holding onto that no matter how insignificant or small it may be. Because as long as you have that, nothing else should matter. I don't know why this thought in particular is what drew tears out of me. At the start of the game, Link has NOTHING left to his name but his horse and a vague legacy of proclaimed heroism that only he knows the true extent of. His childhood was ripped from him, his home is really no longer able to be his, and Navi, his one loyal friend and source of guidance for him, has since left. So he goes searching. Link only goes out into the woods because he's searching for a friend. Just something. ANYTHING. And by the end he finds some. [Screenshot from the end of Majora's Mask of a large tree stump with a drawing etched into it of Link, Skull Kid, Tatl & Tael, and the four giants. They are all waving to the viewer with a smile.] Specifically the realization that this was not Skull Kid's drawing, but in fact Link's, is what got me I think. He truly does see Skull Kid and Tatl and everyone as friends. All of what happened in Termina really means something to him, and that's just beautiful.

GODDDDD THIS GAME DUDE I love sitting here all night thinking and crying about this fucking game dude god it's so good now that my mind has fully reconnected with it and is going into full analysis mode. Link is put into Termina not by destiny or by choice, but by circumstance. And at first, both he and Tatl only work together to get to the end of their own personal problem and then go about their days. He has no obligation to care about what happens other than simply to return to this never ending journey of searching for a friend. But as time goes on, his relations with the people become more personal and deep to a point in which it's no longer just a means to an end. If you're playing Majora's Mask properly, you don't want to beat it just so you can be done. You want to win for the people of Termina. You work and work and work to make sure that everyone is able to end up happy and see the light of a fourth day, with many more to come. The Fierce Deity's Mask is so emblematic of this that it's insane, as with it's opposite in Majora. Majora only sees the world and its people as puppets to play around with until they get bored. It sees the entire thing as a game, just as you might have from the start. But as you help more and more people and grow connected to them, you turn around completely. That turning point and the proof of your help and desire to give everyone their happiness is shown to you through that Fierce Deity mask. And that's WHY it makes Majora such a joke of a battle. Empathy will always win over apathy.
Hoooo man I started thinkin REAL hard tonight instead of sleeping. Can you tell I love this game and it's extremely important and formative to me.
I think that's enough for now
I'm getting silly
Sorry but I am going to continually repost my Link art for a while. That shit is so unbelievably good.

It's worth the time investment of learning in order to unravel the world and its characters if you ask me. Or you could watch a lets play. Whatever works for ya.
A big complaint is always the "stressful time limit," but it's not an issue at all, it's a strength.
The 3 days don't have a limit, and you can redo them forever and learn everyone and everything's schedules to plan your days accordingly. It's fun to stack and multitask quests in one cycle.
