#finishedreading, in the last 2 weeks: Eruption by Crichton and J. Patterson, With a Vengeance by Riley Sager, Run by Blake Crouch, and just today, finished Middle of the Night by Sager. Kind of obsessed with all of Sagerโs red herrings and how he leads you astray only to surprise you with twists.

Been enjoying reading again so so so much. Love doing reviews after but Iโve been too caught up in my books to actually want to. As soon as I finish one, I wanna delve into another. Missed that feeling and loving that itโs back after a long time. Got these to at least do mini reviews for myself. :)

I hadnโt eaten green beans since I stopped liking them as a kid. Then came my bf who made them for me for the first time about a month agoโฆ now I ask him for green beans almost every week lol. He makes them so buttery and so good! Thatโs our dinner tonight, with steak and potatoes; devouring atm.

I hope everybody is safe! I coincidentally just started reading Eruption by Crichton and Patterson, based on Mauna Loaโs 2016 eruption; they write about Kฤซlauea as well. Could not imagine what being at the mercy of multiple volcanoes must be like.

We drew cats, birds, and flowers in blue and yellow to show the world that the Ukrainian flag is not only about strength and resilience, but also about life and the things that make us happy.

#nowreading, Eruption by M. Crichton and J. Patterson. Getting groceries, perused the section for a last-minute buy to scratch the โI need a new bookโ itch. I got deeper into reading as a teen by devouring James Patterson books; Crichton and Patterson together? I canโt turn the pages fast enough.
I bought this book about a year ago at a thrift store, along with his other book Next. I also have that one on my pending list for the future, but I wanted to finish Rising Sun before starting another book I am so excited to get into this weekend.
Just finished it. In short, I definitely like the book. I have lots of questions and conflicting opinions about Crichtonโs choice to come up with a story like this to talk about foreign (over?) involvement in โAmericanโ affairs. Context is provided deliberately, with a meaningful conclusion. 8/10

#nowreading, Rising Sun by Michael Crichton. Definitely hooked by Crichtonโs usual suspense and unexpected twists, which Iโve loved so much since I first read Prey. The chosen expressions to refer to Japanese people while writing are a bit distasteful; wondering about intention/context on this one.
Used Chime cause it had some benefits (sssh) but not when they partner with an Israeli tax filing company. Found out because the consent form states it is a โcompany in Israelโ. Fuck that, fuck Israel, and fuck Chime too. Think we have enough blood on our hands, contributing to this fascist country.

Absolutely insane plot twists page after page, 1000/10. A must read and now part of my Top 5 favorite books ever. New fave author on my list for sure!
