This doesn't fully solve it but having AI review skills for particular things (i.e. backend architecture review) and then giving me a list of issues, with affected lines & proposed fix, has made for some very good review and also not review that I hate.
Hello this is the plant sunlight police are your plants getting enough light there sir
"Today's builders understand that the value we bring has moved to the bookends: the up-front thinking and the final push across the finish line. The messy middle β the grunt work of implementation β is where AI thrives (if we let it)." β @briancasel.com
Yeah and that's why all the experiments are borked, the 4 day work week is seen as different than normal circumstance so people behave.. un-normally.
Having kids and constraints also modifies our baseline expectation of work. But if globally everyone expected 4 day work weeks, they'd work less
Tried using a sticky note today
It DOESNT FREAKING STICK WELL NO WONDER WHY I NEVER USE THESE PIECES OF TRASH
Add some Cajun smoked sausage to your Mac n cheese next time you make it
Thank me anyway you see fit
I keep my phone on black and white mode. Video starts with news clippings, clearly video is in black and white. At some point it got groovy music goin and I'm like, man it is an odd choice to still have this in B&W π
lotta people think ingesting, even feasting, on videos of suffering somehow makes them better. just the act itself of consuming the content.
pretty weird, when you get right down to it
Actually there's only 2 dogs, they just have multiple colors. Hope that helps!
Ironically we undervalue our greatest superpowers exactly because they come so easily to us.
So we donβt think itβs impressive, special, or interesting.
But it is the fact that itβs so easy for us that makes them superpowers.
DSA is a key cap profile in case you aren't that into this.
You'll have to push the key down the same amount unless you change the switches, but changing the key cap can make the whole board lower or make it more "flat"
You can also get tops that are extremely flat and feels more like a membrane
DSA might be the height you're looking for?
Question it. Their hayday is over sadly
I have literally never thought of alphabetizing but that sounds really nice lol
Day 4(?) of black/white phone settings turned on,
Definitely fulfilling the purpose. Makes the holy screen a little less enticing. Also might just be optimism but seems like checking phone in bed doesnt disrupt falling asleep as much, or screw up ability to pay attn if I scroll in morning as much
Great read
Trying out full grayscale on my phone to see if it naturally makes me doomscroll less / want it less without actually removing any functionality. I will give it a week and report back methinks π«‘
Nice. The design is tempting π I don't have my gaming pc desk set up for a relaxed controller mode yet but I want it to be "convertible"
How are they affixed to the desk?
The worst. I hate those days. And I hate having to make social plans 7d in advance so that my non ADHD world can actually respond
Fascinating. Mine are all internal but I basically only do slack now because I don't have to open a browser and get a link
Always look, not slack screen recording?
But yes I think 1min videos communicate so much more especially on the human side of the comms
If I want to design a new page in an existing app, do you just use this tool in a vacuum then tell the LLM to integrate it into said existing app?
Especially around nutrition and health
Medical science has had the convenient common sense be wrong over and over and over for 70 years or whatever
Sometimes so unintuitive that.. *gestures at giant swathes of anti medicine movements*
Assuming no other step FX changes (this is maybe... A very large assumption)
This means more software, and more software related jobs, than before. It also means less reliance on the VC teet and smaller software companies (excluding PE/roll ups, the actual functional building units)
I'm excited.
Yep exactly. Like currently I just few-shot figma make download the output and then tell Claude code to regenerate that in my framework of choice
I am much more excited about this than the dev pipeline side of it! Especially as a non design oriented Dev who can get decent designs now thanks to LLM
