Textured globe seeds and leaves of an American sycamore tree.

I was confused at first, as American sycamores have a fluffy globe seed.
But then I discovered that European sycamores are related to maples.

A tree in watercolor from my imagination

Repeating pattern of bicolor green leaves around metallic orbs, the center one containing a chickadee. Playing with some new metallic acrylic paints.

Made a New Year’s resolution to be more playful with my creativity. I still have plans for my serious art but hope to tone down my perfectionism! Here are some of my 2026 art journal entries. I find the gelli plate printing is almost like finger painting! Very! playful!
