Gobioff Foundation donates millions to Tampa Bay artists and nonprofits The Gobioff Foundation’s modest checks are mighty helpful to artists, curators and human rights advocates.

We don't like being in the spotlight, but sometimes we accept in hopes that we can shine a light on the organizations we support and encourage others to think about their own philanthropy. Thank you, Amy Scherzer and Tampa Bay Times for the article.

So, they got it in, it ended up okay as far as I can tell, but they did have to adjust the frame which they should not have had to do. 30 min job took 5 hours. smh 5/5

Current plan is to cut 1/4" off the top, not the bottom. They say that the bore holes and the hinges will line up then. They did not make sure the window would still line up with the sidelights that were already installed. He went to get sawhorses. Still don't trust them to make a staright line. 4/?

I pointed out that 1/4" is a lot when the deadbolt won't line up, and the hinges won't line up. So he measures. Realizes I'm right, and calls the boss. Now there's a lot more measuring. Does someone want to make odds that I do NOT get a replacement door today? 9 months after we ordered it. 3/?

It arrived and there was a problem, that took 2 more weeks to fix. Now they are here to install and lo and behold. ITS THE WRONG FUCKING SIZE. "It's only 1/4" they said as they are about to use the circular saw to try and cut the bottom of the door off while it sits on the grass in my front yard 2/?

Let's re-visit the epic saga that is our new front door. We had all our downstairs doors and windows replaced this year. They were ordered in December of 2024. They were installed in May of 2025 (after delays), but the front door arrived damaged and had to be reordered. We were told August 1/?

I get it, you're busy. But, you run a business. I'm paying you. I expect communication. At a bare minimum I expect you to either show up when you say, or call to tell me you need to reschedule. I have fired too many companies for things that could have been prevented if they'd just communicated.

And at midnight (7 hours after the order was placed) I got a email that said, "Good news! We’re really sorry for the inconvenience, but Uber Eats needed to cancel your delivery order..." Truly good News, I was waiting for my burger for 7 hours. Now that I know it isn't coming I can go eat!</sarcasm>

Because it’s 3rd party uber says you have to deal with the store. The store says they can’t do anything about it since they aren’t uber. At least they say they’ll refund (ordered in shake shack app).

Oh and lots talk about the loophole in the Shake Shack 3rd party delivery with Uber that allows the driver to take your food with no consequences. 1/2

They don't have the fabric to remake it. They did 6 months ago when we ordered the motorized shade, but now they no longer have it. So rather than offer an alternative, they just try to say it's out of warranty...Buyer beware. end rant.

2nd appointment - Same thing. At this point it feels deliberate. Then I notice a note in the repair order - "Please install part for client. Shade is out of warranty and we would not be able to remake." I find that very interesting considering the above. The reality as I see it is...?/?

But this wasn't a broken string. The mechanism inside the shade stopped working. Fast forward- I emailed the CEO (google is your friend) and their executive team agreed to get it repaired. First appointment 5:00-7:00pm- Tech cancels because he won't be able to get to me since he's an hour away?/?

This shade is a roman shade. The "Internal Mchanisms" are covered for the life of the product according to their warranty. There is no motor, so it should be covered. I would understand not covering a broken string, "Operational cords and chains, for 7 years from original installation date" ?/?

This was a suprise since they have a lifetime warranty. Eventually the person in customer service responded and pointed to the line that said, "Motorization components, for 5 years from original installation date". That's interesting since they have an entire "Motorized" line...

Broke every other year or so. Eventually we got tired of dealing with the repair and replaced it with a new motorized shade. One of the other ones recently broke (the pull no longer works, so it's stuck down) and we reached out to have it repaired. They said it was out of warranty...2/?

Hello people of the world. I'd like to take a moment to inform you of the experience I'm having with The Shade Store. We've spent a lot of money with them over the years and up until now never really had a problem with them repairing something if it broke. One of our shades (which is very large) 1/?

Never underestimate the power of a CEO’s email address.

So they finished on Saturday. Inspection passed yesterday. Now they just need to replace the door that arrived damaged. They said that’ll be August. 19/19

They are here. Doors are looking better. Will have to deal with gaps between doors and baseboards. Some may have been created by their team but I can't be sure. I hate this. Why is it that projects like this snowball. Why can't the contractors just be up front on what the results/impact will be.18/?

Side note. Getting a quote from a painter. He quotes the inside and the outside separately. But he separated the inside and the outside of the new doors. WTF? Because I might just want to paint the outside? Or just the inside? I get making it all line-itemed, but that's just stupid.

Follow up on Day 7- He spent the day finishing on the outside and cleaning it up. They'll be back on Saturday to finish. Luckily, the inspection will happen tomorrow. That means they can address anything if anything is found. If nothing is, fingers crossed it'll be 100% done on Saturday. 16/?

Day 7- The one guy here took it well, considering I think he thought he would have an easy day. He of course needs to call it in to see what the boss wants to do. 15/?

Some pictures to demonstrate. Looked it up, it should be consistent and 1/8-1/4 of an inch all around.

To top it all off they are trying to gaslight us and lie to us. This is why I take pictures each day. Luckily I caught the one that shows they lied. Tomorrow they get to redo all the inside trim. 13/?
