their fruit has putrified
forbidden once and bound to die
the thread of life lies severed
on the brink of paradise
In a snowy valley a warmly dressed figure offers a helping hand to another, reptilian, bleeding figure on the ground. Behind them in the snow is a trail through the snow, tracing the path of the downed figure tumbling down a hill, strewing their belongings across the slope before coming to a rest. A the top of the hill there are more figures, a sled and pack beasts looking down and readying ropes. In the path of the rope is the snowprints showing the helping hand's path down into the valley.
"It was quite the spill you took there."

I am so here for it.
characters from Granado Espada
A render of Ann Darrow from Peter Jackson's King Kong for the PS2 (screenshot specifically from Noodle's video about the game)
Monster Hunter Tri
whatever you call this art style - PS2 era medium-poly characters with hand-made highly detailed but also somewhat blurry textures with baked-in lighting - I absolutely love it and it makes me want to drop everything and make games

Doesn't help that February is the Worst Month. Like 2 weeks of highs in the single digits F
It's been about 6 weeks since I was set free of employment and I am just now really and truly feeling human again.
Awesome looking forward to picking it up!
Tomorrow! I have an essay in it. Well, it's sort of an essay. It's technically an essay. It's an essay I wrote like a poem because I get to be like that if I want to be like that because writing for games is fun and writing about games is also fun! bsky.app/profile/inkl...
Absolutely 💯 percent agree here. I sit at a PC all day, the last thing I wanna do is play games there. The SD got me back in a way that I never expected. I love exploring my library again
With Devin putting v0.4 of Mourningstar out I finally get to post the art I did for the 7 available playbooks.
I thought there was no way everything would fit in the containers, but they laid everything out outside of em and went really made it fit.
Moved from CA > NY in 2021 with the uhaul uboxes because they were the cheapest. The only advice I had is that it really pays to have someone skilled pack the containers. We packed all our stuff in boxes, broke down furniture, etc. but the moving guys did amazing tetris in the boxes.
Every day I am reminded that it's not that social media posts lack nuance, it's that most people are incapable of or unwilling to critically read. Your feed can lead you to the waters, but you and you alone can commit to dying of thirst because your first sip "told you all you needed to know."

hi, I worked in indie games for 10 years and sorry, they're also burning down. you just don't hear about it because it doesn't make the news when a studio of 19 lays off 7, even when it's 200 small studios doing that
This is so sick!

Painting of Link with a million little gadgets and weapons from across the games. I worked harder on this in a 5 week period than any other thing I’ve ever painted. I think I almost died working on this lol
Happy Zelda 40th anniversary!

the worst thing for me is. Imagine you lost a bunch of expert carpenters and you had to learn carpentry from scratch with no teachers, no youtube. That’s what the industry is currently doing. just getting rid of the folks who know the craft, and retaining the folks who know how to parasite
