I haven't tried yet, but the idea is exciting. I may in the near future!

Every AAA boardroom:
Maybe a decade ago, certainly not now
The visual feel of it is HZD x Monster Hunter Stories x Dauntless + 15% anime exaggeration
Which is pretty cool
It's very funny to me in that - he could just solve all the world's, or at least most of the US's, problems! He could choose to use his wealth to reduce costs, solve hunger and homelessness, and be universally loved!
But he's so rich that even getting to that thought is now impossible
I sometimes even have this thought about story-based games vs. competitive games I can hop in and out of. Same result, it tends not to be true once I sit down and do it, but it remains a nagging fear

Was watching Gundam when this frame popped up and my brain immediately willed this into existence @maxdood.bsky.social

It seems like Venmo has a solid system that's effectively digital allowances? But unsure how it works with payment systems/tap.

From an era where a single game could be in rotation for years at a time with no updates! A prehistoric-feeling sentence
Honestly if they'd done a wireframe-style level like that it would have been sick as hell (maybe they did and I forgot?)
Also - if it's now opposite, delete the original post! Actively keeping up misinformation that people will see hours or days after it's no longer true is at best cynical and at worst actively harmful
I got a DAS for Christmas and it's been great but it's primarily moving me towards a similar idea as this
It would have still been on smashboards if it exists, but unfortunately no, I don't have any idea where it would be. Sorry!
There are some reasonable criticisms, but the majority of negative discourse came from the people who wanted to play Mario Kart as a service game. And they can do that if they want, but the criticisms that come from people attempting to do that won't apply to the vast majority of players.
Damn that's sick
Finally got around to playing SANABI over the break and it's pretty close to a 10/10 for me - physics-based platformer, shares some essence with Celeste imo *AND* just got a free DLC campaign about a month ago. store.steampowered.com/app/1562700/...
@danfloydplus.bsky.social because you're the only person online I've seen mention SANABI and it's *great*, popping in to let you know they did a full new DLC campaign for free and it's *also* great! store.steampowered.com/app/3996620/...
HELL yeah. Can't wait to dig into this when I get home
I deeply yearn for the days of PC games having funky box shapes, like this, Prince of Persia 2 or the trapezoid FF7 one
Here's a timestamped link to the documentary ep where they talk about it (not sure why the above links didn't hyperlink but they do work) youtu.be/qEibecSOTvQ?...

If it's in South Bend, they're referring to MELEE-FC, which hosted several events at Trinity Church, a number of which were historically notable
If memory serves, one of them is talked about in the Smash Brothers Documentary
It's not perfect yet, but it's starting to emulate pretty well on PC. Give it another year or two and it'll probably be rock solid
