As I've had conversations with colleagues and the community, it's clear that bold, new leadership is needed to take on Trump’s dangerous, "drill, baby, drill" agenda and fight on the frontlines for our air, land, and water.

I’m saddened by the passing of my friend Fred Harris at 94. A U.S. Senator from Oklahoma (1964–1973) and former DNC Chairman, Fred was a champion of civil rights and LBJ’s Great Society programs. My condolences to his wife, Marg, former Chair of the New Mexico Democratic Party.
The DNC deserves a full time chair who is working around the clock to build and strengthen our party. That’s exactly what I’ll do.
The DNC needs to get out of DC for a bit and go to the states—to listen, reconnect with the voters, and restore a strong and resilient party.
As your DNC Chair, that's exactly what I will do.
